Minerals Iodine-Active Plus is an analogue of the natural iodine compound, used in complex therapy and for the prevention of thyroid diseases.

Active ingredients

The main biological role of iodine is to support the function of the thyroid gland and the formation of its hormones - thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Today, iodine is the only known trace element that participates in the formation of these hormones. The physiological role of thyroid hormones is very large: control of the intensity of basal metabolism, influence on water-salt, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.

As a hormone, thyroxine is in constant communication with other endocrine glands, especially the pituitary gland and gonads, regulates the functioning of the brain, nervous and cardiovascular systems, and stimulates growth and mental development.

Studies conducted in recent years by the World Health Organization (WHO) around the world have shown that the level of mental development (IQ) is directly related to the content of iodine. Hormonal disorders resulting from iodine deficiency are sometimes barely noticeable, which is why iodine deficiency is known as "hidden hunger". Children suffer most from this hunger: growth is delayed, mental development slows down, sometimes even cretinism develops, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to attend school, and their ability to remember and acquire new knowledge and skills decreases.
A lack of iodine, as a "building block" of thyroid hormone, is often the hidden cause of many diseases.

Indications for use

One of the main ways to cover iodine deficiency is to consume iodine-rich foods: milk, eggs, meat, and sea fish. But in most cases, the iodine content in these foods is not precisely determined, and up to 65% of the trace element can be lost during long-term storage and cooking.

Contraindication

Pregnant and lactating women, individual sensitivity to individual components, people with thyroid disorders, people taking other iodine preparations.

Dosage and administration.

Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 1 tablet 2 times a day with meals, washed down with water. The course of administration is 1-2 months.
