1 capsule contains: active ingredients: saw palmetto fruit extract (Serenoa repens) - 160 mg, African plum bark extract (Pygeum africanum / Prunus africanum) - 100 mg, stinging nettle root extract (Urtica dioica) - 100 mg, lycopene - 15 mg, selenium glycinate - 50 µg.

Properties
Adeprost is a complex of three phytoextracts, lycopene, and selenium, which help alleviate the main symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and chronic prostatitis.
Saw palmetto fruit extract (Serenoa repens) – contains a complex of biologically active substances, including phytosterols (phytosterols), the main one of which is beta-sitosterol, fats, flavones, carotenoids, enzymes, fatty acids, and tannin.
Stinging nettle root extract (Urtica dioica) – contains flavonoids, chlorophyll, tannin, vitamins (K, C, B, carotenoids), phenolic compounds, fatty acids, polysaccharides, trace elements (iron, calcium, copper, phosphorus, etc.).
Extracts of saw palmetto fruit (Serenoa repens) and stinging nettle root (Urtica dioica) act on enzymes that play an important role in androgen metabolism in the prostate gland.
Saw palmetto fruit extract inhibits the enzymes 5α-reductase and aromatase, nettle extract inhibits only aromatase. 5α-reductase catalyzes the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, aromatase catalyzes the metabolism of testosterone to 17β-estradiol.
Dihydrotestosterone, as well as estrogens, plays an important role in the pathogenesis of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Saw palmetto and nettle extracts also have anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous properties. During the first weeks of use, capillary permeability and vascular stasis, edema and inflammatory processes in the prostate are reduced, compression of the bladder neck and urethra is eliminated, as a result of which urodynamics indicators improve - urine flow increases and symptoms associated with impaired urination disappear. Pygeum africanum bark extract (Pygeum africanum / Prunus africanum) contains ferulic esters of fatty alcohols (n-tetracosanol), triterpenoids (ursolic and olenolic acids), phytosterols (beta-sitosterol), tannins. The active components of the fruits of the African plum restore the hormonal balance of the male body, and thereby normalize the functioning of the reproductive system. Ferulic acid esters enhance the secretory function of the prostate and bulbourethral glands, reduce the level of luteinizing hormone, increase the secretion of androgens and corticosteroids.
Due to the content of sitosterols and triterpenoids, the elasticity of the bladder increases, the frequency decreases and the process of urination is facilitated. Beta-sitosterol inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in the prostate, reducing blood stasis, which reduces swelling and inflammation, and restores prostate functions. Triterpenoids improve the integrity of small capillaries, reduce blood stasis and inflammatory processes. Ursolic acid, which has an effect similar to hydrocortisone, is able to delay the development of aseptic inflammation.
The active components of African plum fruits delay the development of prostatic hyperplasia by inhibiting cell proliferation.
Lycopene is a carotenoid antioxidant present in human blood and the main component that determines the red color of tomato fruits and is found in many red-orange parts of plants. The main function of lycopene in the human body is antioxidant. The human body cannot synthesize this substance and obtains it exclusively from food. It has been established that lycopene and lycopene-containing products contribute to reducing the risk of malignant transformation of prostate cells and the development of hyperproliferative processes in the prostate gland.
Selenium (in the form of selenium glycinate) is an essential trace element in the human body, which is part of the active center of enzymes in the body's antioxidant and anti-radical defense system and is a powerful antioxidant that blocks oxidative stress.
According to research, a combination of lycopene, selenium, and saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) is superior only to Serenoa repens in reducing hormone-dependent prostate growth.
