Composition
PER-LIP® complex (Lipo 10B liposome from soy lecithin 4% + microencapsulated Perilla frutescens seed extract 0.5%), sodium hyaluronate 0.2%, boric acid, sodium tetraborate decahydrate, PEG 300, disodium EDTA dihydrate, sodium chloride, water.
Properties
Perilla frutescens - a herb of the basil family is an antioxidant that helps counteract the accumulation of oxidative stress. Perilla seed oil is rich in alpha-linolenic acid, vital for human health, which normalizes the production of immunoglobulin type E (IgE), which is produced in excess during allergies, thereby relieving unpleasant symptoms and alleviating the condition. It is not synthesized in the body, which is why it is so important to obtain it from the outside and accumulate it.
Perilla contains a large amount of vitamin A, ascorbic acid, vitamins B1, B2, PP and mineral salts such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, as well as essential oils.
Perilla frutescens seed dry extract includes rosmarinic acid and other flavonoids such as luteolin, apigenin and chrysoeriol, which have significant inhibitory activity against 5 and 12 lipoxygenase, key enzymes in one of the pathways of allergy and inflammation. Rosmarinic acid protects against the harmful effects of ultraviolet light, stabilizes cell membranes, and fights free radicals.
In vivo and in vitro clinical studies have demonstrated the antiallergic activity of perilla, mediated by inhibition of histamine release and interleukin (IL 6, TNF alpha) expression, which showed a significant reduction in clinical symptoms and in the number of neutrophils and eosinophils in the nasal fluid of patients with seasonal allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, compared to placebo.
Perilla has antiseptic, analgesic, and emollient properties.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural high-molecular biopolymer, a non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan, which is part of the connective, epithelial and nervous tissue of a person. It is one of the main components of the extracellular matrix, which is contained in many biological fluids (saliva, synovial fluid, vitreous humor, etc.). Hyaluronic acid has a mucoadhesive and viscoelastic effect, the ability to adhere to the cells of the surface of the eyes, thereby protecting, lubricating and moisturizing them. Reduces tear osmolarity, normalizes the secretion of meibomian glands, improves the stability of the tear film and creates a favorable microenvironment for the processes of re-epithelialization, restoration of the ocular surface in cases of damage to the cornea and conjunctiva.
Hyaluronic acid helps retain the active ingredients of the drug on the surface of the eye (tear film) and prolongs the contact time of the molecules with the structures of the eye, increasing their bioavailability.
Allergix Free spray delivers liposomes (an oily component, such as phospholipid) to the eye, helping to restore the lipid layer, thereby eliminating the lipid instability that causes dry eyes, relieving irritation and discomfort in eye pathologies.
The combined action of PER-LIP® (liposomes + perilla) and hyaluronic acid helps restore and improve tear film stability, keeping the eye surface more moisturized and lubricated.
Allergix Free can be used as an adjunct to antihistamine therapy. The spray is well tolerated on the surface of the eye.
Method of application
Allergix Free is intended for ophthalmic use. Before use, wash your hands thoroughly and remove contact lenses. Hold the bottle tightly with your thumb and forefinger by the nozzle so as not to block the nozzle opening.
Hold the bottle approximately 10 cm from the eye.
Spray Allergix Free onto a closed eye, pressing firmly 1-2 times on the nozzle, 3-4 times a day for 3-4 days. If necessary, on the recommendation of a doctor, the period of use can be extended, but should not exceed 30 days.
Use in children: there are no age restrictions if the drug is prescribed by a doctor.
Reservation
Keep out of reach of children.
Reusable product for one patient, do not share the vial with other people to prevent cross-contamination.
Before using the spray, you must check the integrity of the packaging.
To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip to the surface of the eye or any other object.
If symptoms worsen or the condition does not improve, you should consult a doctor.
Contraindication
Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients of the solution.
Storage conditions
Store the spray away from heat sources, in a dry place at a temperature of 9°C to 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle and outer carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month stated on the carton and if the packaging has not been damaged and has been stored correctly.
Allergix Free can be used for up to 90 days after first opening. After this time, the bottle should be disposed of according to local regulations.
