The Alterna 12802 Universal Postoperative Non-Sterile Urostomy Bag has a wider adhesive ring, allowing for a fairly large stoma opening of up to 100 mm. This is often necessary when the stoma swells in patients in the early postoperative period.

When using the bag as a colostomy bag, it is recommended to add a Coloplast 0509 air filter to it to remove excessive gas buildup.

Characteristics

One-piece colostomy bags consist of a stoma bag with an integrated adhesive plate. One-piece stool containers can be drained (open) or undrained (closed). Open (drained) stool containers are stool containers that have an outlet at the bottom with an integrated clamp that empties the stool container. Undrained (closed) stool containers are equipped with a filter that automatically filters out odor.
