Characteristics

The plate 13171 consists of the Alterna adhesive layer, which combines two adhesive layers, one of which absorbs excess moisture, thereby preventing skin irritation. The skin remains in a normal state. The second adhesive layer holds the plate firmly on the body. Does not cause discomfort during loosening. The plate adheres well to the body due to its spiral structure. The specially designed ribbed edge of the plate does not constrain movements, does not compress the skin. The locking flange hermetically secures the packages to the plate.

Advantages

Alterna Long Wear is specifically designed for patients with loose bowel movements. The sufficient amount of hydrocolloid in the plate increases the duration of use and protects the skin from bowel contents.

For comfortable use of two-component colostomy bags, it is recommended to use them together with Coloplast 2650 paste. Apply the paste to the skin around the stoma. Coloplast can be used to smooth out skin irregularities.

Thanks to the soft Curagard adhesive with thin corrugated edges and the elastic flange material, the plate is very flexible, allowing it to follow the movements and folds of the skin. Good flexibility provides patients with greater freedom of movement, giving them a sense of security.

The unique attachment ring ensures a secure attachment of the bag to the plate, easily locking in place and without putting pressure on the anterior abdominal wall.

The Long Wear plate must be changed every 5 days and is recommended to be used with formed contents.
