Composition
Soybean lecithin, sodium chloride, ethyl alcohol (96%), water for injections.
Description
Translucent opalescent liquid of milky color with a characteristic odor. During storage, sediment may appear.
Release form
Spray. 50 ml (ml) in glass bottles with a spray pump and a spray nozzle; 1 bottle together with instructions for use in a cardboard pack.
General properties
ALVIL spray is a medical product whose mechanism of action is based on the ability of its components to maintain the necessary level of hydration of the natural film that covers the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.
It does not disrupt the functional state of organs and body systems, does not contain preservatives, has no cumulative properties, and does not have a pharmacological, immunological, or metabolic effect.
Recommendations for use
ALVIL spray is indicated for:
- as an adjunct in complex therapy to relieve symptoms and prevent acute or chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract;
- to maintain the natural level of hydration of the mucous membranes of the respiratory organs during respiratory tract irritation;
- for hoarseness, voice strain caused by upper respiratory tract infections, heavy vocal strain and environmental irritants (dust, dry air).
Contraindication
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the medical device.
Application features
To avoid the spread of infection, it is not recommended to share the same nozzle with multiple people.
Immediately after use, treat the nozzle with a cotton swab dipped in a 70º solution of ethyl alcohol or other antiseptic.
Patients who have previously experienced difficulty breathing for any reason should use ALVIL spray only after consulting a doctor.
In case of adverse reactions, stop using the product immediately and consult a doctor if necessary.
ALVIL spray has no restrictions on use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but it is better to consult a doctor or pharmacist before using it.
Use in children: do not use in children under 3 years of age.
Use by children must be under adult supervision.
In order to avoid microbial contamination and to preserve the integrity of the packaging, as well as to prevent injury, it is forbidden to unscrew the spray pump and disassemble removable parts (spray nozzle).
Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
Do not mix with other solutions or medications.
Method of application
You should consult a doctor before starting use.
Use the product only in accordance with these instructions for use.
Shake the bottle well before use.
When first used, it may take 3 to 4 presses on the spray nozzle to fill the pump tube.
Application in the form of an oral spray.
Hold the bottle vertically and press the spray nozzle down completely.
Avoid direct contact between the oral mucosa and the spray nozzle.
To ensure that the aerosol formed can reach the larynx (for example, in case of hoarseness), the spray should be inhaled with a long, even breath during spraying.
Make 2-4 presses on the spray nozzle 1-3 times a day.
Use as an inhalation solution.
The product may be recommended by a doctor as part of a comprehensive treatment for upper respiratory tract diseases using a nebulizer using a special face mask or mouthpiece.
The nebulizer must be used according to the manufacturer's instructions for use.
It is recommended to administer approximately 2 milliliters (ml) to 3 milliliters (ml) of the product per inhalation. In general, 2 to 4 applications per day are recommended. The dose, duration and frequency of use are determined by the doctor. Use may begin with a minimum dose and the dose may be increased if necessary.
Spray Alvil spray directly into a ready-to-use nebulizer:
- 17 sprays correspond to approximately 2 ml (ml);
- 25 sprays correspond to approximately 3 ml (ml).
Reservation
Allergic reactions are possible in people with individual intolerance to the components of the solution.
In some cases, temporary irritation (e.g. coughing) or reversible difficulty breathing may occur, especially in patients with a hyperreactive bronchial system (increased sensitivity and irritation of the respiratory tract after inhalation of cold or humid air, cigarette smoke, perfumes, etc.), in particular in bronchial asthma. In this case, inhalation should be stopped immediately and consult a doctor if the symptoms persist.
Do not use without consulting a doctor if you are prone to shortness of breath or hypersensitivity.
Storage conditions
In a place protected from light at a temperature of 2 ºС to 25 ºС.
Keep out of reach of children.
Transport by all types of covered transport at temperatures from 2 ºС to 25 ºС.
Expiration date
2 years. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
