Abiclav tablets for the treatment of bacterial infections in adults and children caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug:

Composition

Active ingredient: amoxicillin;

1 tablet contains amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to amoxicillin - 500 mg;

Excipients: cellulose microcrystalline cellulose, dispersible; crospovidone; vanillin; mandarin flavor; lemon flavor; saccharin; magnesium stearate.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to amoxicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins and cephalosporins), as well as to the excipients of the drug.

Method of application

The drug is prescribed regardless of meals (before meals, during meals, after meals). Augmentin DT can be swallowed with 1 glass of water, it can be diluted in water (20 ml - ½ glass), with the formation of a sweetish suspension, has a pleasant lemon-tangerine taste.

Pregnant women

The use of the drug during pregnancy should be avoided unless the benefit of its use outweighs the potential risk.

Drivers

Adverse reactions (e.g. allergic reactions, dizziness, seizures) may occur, which may affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate other automated systems.

Children

The drug should be used in children over 1 year of age (in this dosage form).

Overdose

Symptoms: Gastrointestinal adverse reactions and electrolyte disturbances may occur. Amoxicillin-induced crystalluria has been reported, leading in some cases to renal failure.

Convulsions may occur in patients with impaired renal function or those receiving high doses.

Treatment: Symptomatic, correction of water and electrolyte balance. The drug can be removed from the circulation by hemodialysis.

Side effects

The most common side effects are diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.

Store out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
