Composition
active ingredient: 1 tablet contains affinity purified antibodies to human gamma interferon: a mixture of homeopathic dilutions C12, C30 and C50 – 3 mg;
excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Dosage form
Pills.
Main physicochemical properties: flat-cylindrical tablets, with a score and a bevel, white to almost white in color. One flat side has a score, the other flat side has the inscription ANAFERON KID.

A complex homeopathic preparation.
Pharmacological properties
The drug is used for the treatment and prevention of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza. In prophylactic and therapeutic use, it has an immunomodulatory and antiviral effect. Experimentally and clinically proven efficacy against influenza viruses, parainfluenza, herpes simplex viruses of types 1 and 2 (labial herpes, genital herpes), other herpesviruses (chickenpox, infectious mononucleosis), enteroviruses, tick-borne encephalitis virus, rotavirus, coronavirus, calicivirus, adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus (RS-virus). The drug reduces the concentration of the virus in the affected tissues, acts on the system of endogenous interferons and related cytokines, induces the formation of endogenous "early" interferons (IFN α/β) and γ-interferon (γ-IFN).
Stimulates humoral and cellular immune response. Increases antibody production (including secretory IgA), activates the functions of T-effectors, T-helpers (Tx), normalizes their ratio. Increases the functional reserve of Tx and other cells involved in the immune response. Induces a mixed Th1-type and Th2-type immune response: increases the production of Th1 cytokines (γ-IFN, IL-2) and Th2 (IL-4, IL-10), normalizes (modulates) the balance of Th1/Th2 activities.
Increases the functional activity of phagocytes and natural killer cells.
It has antimutagenic properties.
Indication
As part of complex therapy and for the prevention of acute respiratory viral infections (including influenza).
Complex therapy of infections caused by herpesviruses (infectious mononucleosis, chickenpox, labial herpes, genital herpes).
Comprehensive therapy and prevention of relapses of chronic herpesvirus infection, including labial and genital herpes.
Comprehensive therapy and prevention of other acute and chronic viral infections caused by tick-borne encephalitis virus, enterovirus, rotavirus, coronavirus, calicivirus.
It is used as part of complex therapy for bacterial infections.
Comprehensive therapy of secondary immunodeficiency states of various etiologies, including prevention and treatment of complications of viral and bacterial infections.
Contraindication
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
No cases of incompatibility with other drugs have been registered.
If necessary, the drug can be used in combination with other antiviral, antibacterial and symptomatic agents.
Application features
Any medications for young children should be used under the supervision of a physician.
"Anaferon for children" contains lactose monohydrate, therefore the drug is not recommended for patients with congenital galactosemia, glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome, and congenital lactase deficiency.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
There is no data on the efficacy and safety of the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so it should not be prescribed during these periods.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
Does not affect the reaction speed when driving or working with other mechanisms.
Method of administration and doses
The drug is taken orally, 1 tablet 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after a meal. The tablet is kept in the mouth (preferably without chewing or swallowing) until completely dissolved.
When prescribing the drug to young children (1 month - 3 years), it is recommended to dissolve the tablet in a small amount (1 tablespoon) of boiled water at room temperature.
SARS, influenza, intestinal infections, herpesvirus infections, neuroinfections.
Treatment should be started as early as possible at the first signs of acute viral infection according to the following scheme: for the first 2 hours, take 1 tablet every 30 minutes (5 doses), then during the first day - 3 more tablets at regular intervals (a total of 8 tablets during the first day). Starting from the 2nd day onwards, take 1 tablet 3 times a day until complete recovery.
If there is no improvement on the third day of treatment with the drug for acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, you should consult a doctor.
Genital herpes. In acute manifestations of genital herpes, take at regular intervals according to the following scheme: 1–3rd day – 1 tablet 8 times a day, then – 1 tablet 4 times a day for at least 3 weeks.
To prevent relapses of chronic herpes virus infection - 1 tablet per day.
The recommended duration of the preventive course is determined individually and can reach 6 months.
When using the drug for the treatment and prevention of immunodeficiency states in the complex therapy of bacterial infections, take 1 tablet per day.
Children.
Used for children aged 1 month to 18 years.
Overdose
In case of accidental overdose, dyspeptic manifestations caused by the components included in the drug are possible.
Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions are possible, including itching, rash, urticaria, skin hyperemia, and edema.
Expiration date
3 years.
Do not use the drug after the expiration date indicated on the package.
