Active ingredients

Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra): triterpene saponins (23%) - glycyrrhizin and glycyrrhizic acid and its aglycone - glycyrrhetinic acid. Among the triterpenes, glyceretol, glabrolide, licuric acid and licuric acid were found. The expectorant effect of licorice is associated with the content of glycyrrhizin, which stimulates the activity of the tracheal and bronchial epithelium and increases the secretory function of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.
