Composition

Isotonic sterile solution of Adriatic Sea seawater with natural salts and trace elements.

Properties

Aqua Maris® maintains the normal physiological state of the nasal mucosa and ensures its hydration.

Isotonic sterile seawater of Aqua Maris® cleanses the nasal mucosa from street and indoor dust, excessive secretions and other pathogenic factors (bacteria, viruses, allergens, etc.);

in inflammatory diseases of the nose with abundant mucus and mucopurulent discharge, the use of Aqua Maris® promotes faster evacuation of mucus, improves the use of local medications, and makes breathing easier;

Aqua Maris® thins mucus and normalizes its production in the nasal mucosa;

Aqua Maris® improves the function of the ciliated epithelium, which increases the resistance of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses to the penetration of pathogenic bacteria and viruses, reduces the inflammatory process and reduces the risk of complications.

Recommendations for use

Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx;

adenoids;

postoperative period (after operations on the nasal cavity);

allergic and vasomotor rhinitis (especially in people prone to or suffering from hypersensitivity to drugs, including pregnant women and during lactation);

prevention and treatment as part of complex therapy of nasal cavity infections in the autumn-winter period (including in pregnant women and during lactation);

dryness of the nasal mucosa;

preservation of the physiological characteristics of the nasal mucosa in changed microclimatic conditions - in people who live and work in rooms with air conditioning and/or central heating; in people whose upper respiratory tract mucosa is constantly exposed to harmful influences (smokers, drivers, people working in hot and dusty workshops, as well as in regions with harsh climatic conditions).

Method of application

Aqua Maris® nasal spray is prescribed for adults and children over 1 year of age.

For preventive and hygienic purposes:

children from 1 to 7 years old, 1-2 injections into each nasal passage 2-3 times a day;

from 7 to 16 years old, 1-2 sprays into each nasal passage 2-4 times a day;

Adults – 2 sprays into each nasal passage 2-4 times a day.

For the purpose of treatment and as an adjunct to basic treatment

children from 1 to 7 years old, 2 injections into each nasal passage 3-4 times a day;

from 7 to 16 years old and adults, 2 sprays into each nasal passage 4-6 times a day.

To soften and remove nasal secretions.

In cases where significant accumulations of nasal secretions have accumulated in the nasal passage, Aqua Maris® is injected into each nasal passage with the patient in a supine position with the head turned to the side. The remaining fluid that flows out is removed using cotton wool or a handkerchief. The procedure can be repeated many times until the accumulations of nasal secretions deposited in the nasal passage are softened and removed.

Reservation

Aqua Maris® can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Do not use in children under 1 year of age in the form without a child attachment. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the product.

Due to its natural composition, the product is safe for long-term use and is not addictive.

Before using the spray for the first time, it is recommended to make a few test presses on the pump dispenser.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to components.

Storage conditions

Keep out of reach of children.

The outer container is filled with an inert gas - propellant (nitrogen) which does not come into contact with the solution. Do not pierce or burn after use.

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, open flames or any other ignition source.

Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 °C.

Release form

Nasal spray 150 ml in a bottle with a dosing device; 1 bottle in a cardboard box.
