Properties
Methyl salicylate is a derivative of salicylic acid used to relieve pain. When applied topically, methyl salicylate is well and rapidly absorbed through the skin, has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
The action of levomenthol is due to a reflex reaction in response to irritation of the skin's pain receptors. Levomenthol has a distracting, irritating, and analgesic effect.
Camphor, when applied topically, causes an irritating and moderate analgesic effect.
Tocopherol acetate improves tissue oxygen consumption, has an angioprotective effect, affecting the tone and permeability of blood vessels, stimulating the formation of new capillaries, which promotes tissue healing after injuries of traumatic or inflammatory origin.
Composition
Methylsalicylic acid 5.7%, camphor 1.2%, levomenthol 5.7%, alpha-tocopherol 2%, tocopherol acetate 2%, borneol 5%, rhubarb extract 4.4%, natural rubber 20%, petrolatum 7%, aromatic resin 10%, zinc oxide 14%, acrylic saturated hydrocarbon resin 23%.
Indications for use
ARGETT Painkiller plaster with a medicinal product, due to the elastic properties of the base, helps to support and fix damaged muscles and joints. Due to the components (methyl salicylate, camphor, levomenthol), it helps to provide symptomatic temporary relief of acute and chronic pain associated with inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints of traumatic origin, with sprains of ligaments and tendons, dislocations, bruises, pain in the joints, back, neck and lower back in adults and children over 12 years of age.
Method of application
For external use only.
Clean and dry the affected area and apply the patch, having previously removed the protective paper. The time of use of one patch is usually 8-12 hours. During the day, no more than 2 patches are allowed to be applied to the painful area.
Application scheme
- Bend the patch in the middle and release part of the surface from the protective paper.
- Apply the patch to the painful area of skin and pull out part of the protective paper from under the patch.
- Smooth out.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of the patch, to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), allergy to aspirin or salicylates.
The active ingredients do not enter the systemic bloodstream, but it is not recommended for use in cases of gastric or duodenal ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, a history of bronchial asthma, heart failure, severe forms of liver and kidney failure, pregnant women and lactating women, and children under 12 years of age.
Do not allow the surface of the patch to come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes.
Do not use on open wounds or areas of skin with pathological changes, such as eczema, acne, dermatitis, inflammation or infections of various origins.
Side effect
Redness, itching, burning and a feeling of warmth, rash and skin discoloration may occur at the site of application of the patch. Skin burns, blistering and other temporary skin reactions may occur. Feeling of cold, then warmth, slight burning and tingling, allergic reactions including skin redness, rash, hives, contact dermatitis, itching.
Headache, tinnitus are possible.
If you experience any adverse reactions, including those not listed in this manual, you should stop using the patch and consult a doctor.
Reservation
The product is not intended for internal use.
Consult a doctor before use.
Do not use with a heating pad. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. Do not use on areas of skin with thick hair.
You should stop using the patch and consult a doctor if:
- in case of worsening skin condition (rash, itching or severe skin irritation),
- if pain persists for 3 days or symptoms recur after a short-term improvement.
Packaging
10 patches measuring 10 cm (cm) x 13 cm (cm), in a ZIP bag in a cardboard box.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging. After first opening the ZIP package, use the patches within one month.

3 years.
