Scientifically proven properties of the components of the dietary supplement:*
The dietary supplement formula is designed specifically to support musculoskeletal health. Here are some of the known properties of the components of Arthrida Complex, along with scientific studies that support them.
Glucosamine is a structural component for the synthesis of cartilage matrix and connective tissue, promotes the regeneration of cartilage tissue and protects articular cartilage, improving the properties of synovial fluid, which serves to lubricate joints and prevent friction, which is the cause of their destruction.
Glucosamine promotes regenerative processes in the joints and spine by activating the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and hyaluronic acid (7, 8).
Glucosamine helps increase mobility and improve joint function (1).
Glucosamine is used to correct people's diets:
- with age-related degenerative-dystrophic changes in the joints;
- after joint surgery;
- with increased load on the joints (excess weight, sports and other intense physical exercises);
- during the recovery period after joint or tendon injuries;
- with limited or insufficient joint mobility;
- during menopause.
Bromelain is a complex of proteolytic enzymes of plant origin. It has been scientifically proven (2) that, when it enters living organisms, bromelain immediately destroys certain receptors on T cells that pick up inflammatory signals. Without this necessary link, inflammatory signals do not reach our cells, so it can be said that bromelain has been scientifically proven to have some anti-inflammatory properties (3). Another study, in which participants took bromelain, showed that bromelain protease enzymes circulating in the blood serum were able to alleviate pain in muscle injuries during and after excessive physical exertion, and increase endurance (4).
Type II collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein of connective tissue, and type II collagen predominates in articular cartilage, accounting for 90% of the cartilage covering the joint surface of an adult. Type II collagen can activate T-regulatory cells through an oral tolerance mechanism, which can reduce cartilage damage (5). Adding type II collagen to the diet promotes cartilage regeneration, which is accompanied by increased joint mobility. There is a scientific study that shows that the use of collagen peptide improves the immunological status of a person (6).
