Features of the blood pressure monitor

• Intellisense intelligent control technology manages the measurement process like a doctor, taking into account the individual characteristics of each user, which allows for the most comfortable and fast measurement. The device measures blood pressure twice during one measurement (when air is pumped into the cuff and when it comes out of it), which is the key to unconditional accuracy even with heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias).
• Memory for 30 measurements. Blood pressure changes throughout the day. OMRON has equipped blood pressure monitors with a sufficient amount of memory. The data is stored in the corresponding memory cell in reverse order.
• Fan-shaped cuff 22-42 cm. The measurement accuracy is 35% dependent on the quality of the cuff and whether it corresponds to the size of the arm (shoulder). A fan-shaped cuff is a cuff whose shape resembles a fan. The human arm has a conical shape (the length of the circumference of the upper arm is greater than the lower one). When using a conventional cuff, an empty space will inevitably form near the elbow, and in the upper arm the cuff fits tightly to the arm. When air is supplied to the cuff, the pressure is distributed unevenly, and the artery is not fully compressed. To obtain accurate results, it is necessary that the area of the artery that the cuff clamps is completely covered. To achieve this goal, OMRON uses a special fan-shaped cuff, which ensures uniform pressure distribution over the entire area of the artery under the cuff. This ensures an accurate result and minimizes pain from squeezing the arm with the cuff.
  Arrhythmia indicator: If an irregular heartbeat is detected during the measurement, but the result is valid, it is displayed on the screen along with the arrhythmia indicator.
  
  High blood pressure indicator. Appears if systolic blood pressure is 135 mmHg and above and/or diastolic blood pressure is 85 mmHg and above.
• Indicator of correct cuff fixation. The blood pressure monitor is equipped with an indicator of correct cuff fixation in the form of a user-friendly graphic icon. In case of incorrect fixation, the indicator will not display “OK” inside the icon, in which case the measurement should be repeated to obtain a more accurate result. The shape of the cuff, its quality, and the correctness of its application are the key to obtaining an accurate measurement result.
• Movement indicator. To obtain a correct measurement result, it is necessary to be at rest and not make any movements. This indicator is sensitive to movements during measurement, and if they are present, it signals that the measurement should be repeated to obtain a more accurate result.
• Thanks to the included mains adapter, you can take measurements directly from the mains without having to worry about replacing batteries.
