Azitro Sandoz tablets are indicated for infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to azithromycin:
ENT organs (bacterial pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media). Respiratory tract infections (bacterial bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia). Skin and soft tissue infections: erythema migrans (early stage of Lyme disease), erysipelas, impetigo, secondary pyodermatoses, moderate acne vulgaris. Sexually transmitted infections: uncomplicated genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis.Composition
Active ingredient: azithromycin;
1 tablet contains 250 mg or 500 mg of azithromycin in the form of azithromycin dihydrate;
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium starch (type A), colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate;
Shell: lactose, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 4000.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to azithromycin or other macrolide and ketolide antibiotics and excipients of the drug. Due to the theoretical possibility of ergotism, azithromycin should not be prescribed simultaneously with ergot derivatives.
Method of application
Tablets should be taken as a single daily dose, regardless of meals. Swallow the tablets without chewing. If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible, and the next dose should be taken at 24-hour intervals.

Pregnant women
Due to insufficient data on the safety of the drug, it is not recommended to prescribe azithromycin during pregnancy, except in cases where the expected positive effect for the mother outweighs the possible risk of using the drug for the fetus.
Children
Tablets are recommended for use in children weighing more than 45 kg.
Drivers
It is not recommended to use if necessary to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.
Overdose
Experience with the clinical use of azithromycin indicates that the side effects that develop when taking higher than recommended doses of the drug are similar to those observed when using normal therapeutic doses.
Typical symptoms of overdose: reversible hearing loss, severe nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, increased manifestations of other adverse reactions.
Treatment: in case of overdose, it is necessary to take activated charcoal and conduct symptomatic therapy aimed at supporting the body's vital functions.
