Composition
active ingredients: 1 g of the drug contains bismuth tribromophenolate (Xeroform) (calculated as 50% bismuth oxide and dry matter) 30 mg, birch tar 30 mg;
Excipients: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, castor oil.

Vishnevsky's balsamic liniment has a disinfecting, anti-inflammatory, and mildly irritating effect on tissue receptors due to the components included in its composition. The drug helps accelerate the wound healing process by normalizing blood supply to tissues.

Abscesses;

Contraindication
· Hypersensitivity to phenol and its derivatives;

When used simultaneously on the same areas of skin with other drugs for external use, new compounds with unpredictable effects may be created.

Liniment is intended for external use only. Before applying the dressing, the wound should be cleaned of necrotic tissue, open blisters, and rinsed with an antiseptic solution.
Liniment should not be allowed to come into contact with mucous membranes. Hands should be washed thoroughly after application to prevent ointment residues from getting into the eyes, nose, and mouth. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
Birch tar, which is part of balsamic liniment, can increase sensitivity to sunlight, so in the summer you should avoid exposure to the sun during treatment with the drug.
If the signs of the disease do not disappear or, on the contrary, the state of health worsens, or any undesirable phenomena occur, it is necessary to stop using the drug and consult a doctor regarding further treatment.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Since the safety of the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been studied, it should be prescribed taking into account the risk/benefit ratio.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
There is no information on the effect of the drug on the reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms.
Method of administration and doses
Adults should use liniment externally as prescribed by a doctor. Apply a thin layer 2-3 times a day to the affected areas of the skin or apply a bandage of 5-6 layers of gauze soaked in the drug. Fix the bandage, change it once every 2-3 days.
Bandages should be applied until the infected area of skin is completely cleansed.
The duration of the treatment course is from 6 to 20 days.
Children
The safety and clinical efficacy of the drug in this age group have not been studied.
Overdose
Possible manifestations of a local allergic reaction (including rash, itching), requiring antiallergic therapy.
Treatment: in case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of gel, induce vomiting and consult a doctor. Treatment is symptomatic.
Adverse reactions
With prolonged use, manifestations of local allergic reactions (including hyperemia, itching, skin rashes, including urticaria, edema) are possible, requiring antiallergic therapy. Photosensitivity reactions are possible.
