Betazon Ultra ointment tube 15 g




Betasone Ultra ointment for external use is indicated for the treatment of dermatoses sensitive to corticosteroids in the presence (or suspicion) of bacterial and/or fungal infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug.
Composition
Active ingredients: 1 g of the drug contains:
betamethasone dipropionate micronized in terms of betamethasone - 0.5 mg; clotrimazole - 10 mg; gentamicin sulfate in terms of gentamicin - 1 mg;Excipients: mineral oil, white soft paraffin.
Contraindication
The drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any other component of the drug. As well as in skin tuberculosis, skin manifestations of syphilis, skin reactions after vaccination, widespread plaque psoriasis, varicose veins, rosacea, chickenpox, other bacterial and fungal skin infections without proper antibacterial and antifungal therapy.
Betasone Ultra should not be applied to mucous membranes, eyes, or the area around the eyes.
Method of application
Adults should apply Betasone Ultra in a thin layer to the entire affected surface and adjacent skin area 2 times a day, morning and evening. To obtain the effect, the drug should be used regularly.
The duration of treatment depends on the size, location of the lesion, and the patient's response to treatment. Sometimes, if clinical improvement is not observed within 3-4 weeks, the diagnosis should be reconsidered.

Usually the drug does not affect the reaction speed when driving or working with other mechanisms.
Overdose
With prolonged or excessive use of topical corticosteroids, suppression of the pituitary-adrenal system is possible with the development of secondary adrenal insufficiency and the appearance of symptoms of hypercorticism, including Cushing's disease.
A single overdose of gentamicin has not resulted in symptoms of overdose. Excessive or prolonged use of gentamicin may lead to overgrowth of microorganisms insensitive to the antibiotic.
Treatment: Appropriate symptomatic therapy is prescribed.
Side effects
Skin: dry skin, pigmentation disorders (hypopigmentation), hypochromia, burning, erythema, exudation and itching, blistering, peeling, edema, urticaria, general skin irritation, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, skin maceration, development of secondary resistant flora, skin atrophy, sweating, purpura, hypersensitivity reactions, telangiectasias, subcutaneous hemorrhages, rosacea, skin discoloration, photosensitivity.
Interaction
When applying the ointment to the skin of the genitals and anus, the presence of soft paraffin or liquid paraffin (excipients in the composition of the drug) may reduce the tensile strength of latex condoms, which will reduce their reliability during use.
Clotrimazole, when used topically, may be an antagonist of amphotericin and other polyene antibiotics.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
