Composition

1 tablet contains: at least 108 viable bacteria Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938, 10 mcg (400 IU) of vitamin D3.

Non-GMO. Does not contain lactose and milk proteins. No preservatives.

Properties

The effectiveness and safety of L. reuteri Protectis® for humans have been confirmed in clinical studies conducted in Europe, America, Japan, and Ukraine with the participation of people of all ages.

• L. reuteri Protectis® is a strain that meets the current requirements for probiotics of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization.
• L. reuteri Protectis® are natural microorganisms that were first isolated from breast milk and are normally present in the human body throughout the entire gastrointestinal tract.
• L. reuteri Protectis® colonizes the epithelium and multiplies in all parts of the gastrointestinal tract, starting from the oral cavity. L. reuteri are resistant to the action of gastric juice, bile salts and enzymes of the upper small intestine.
• L. reuteri Protectis® supports and regulates the physiological balance of intestinal microflora and actively participates in digestive processes.
• L. reuteri Protectis® synthesizes lactic and acetic acids and specific substances for this type of lactobacilli - reuterin and reuterocyclin, which inhibit the growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms in the digestive tract. Strengthening the natural defense of the digestive system against pathogenic microorganisms, they create favorable conditions for the formation of a normal intestinal microbiocenosis.
• L. reuteri Protectis® has antagonistic activity against H. pylori, and also reduces the side effects of antibacterial therapy in gastric and duodenal ulcers.

BioGaia Protectis with vitamin D3. The tablets contain a natural form of vitamin D, which is normally synthesized in the human body, takes an active part in the work of the gastrointestinal tract, regulating its motility, and also plays an important role in the absorption of calcium, phosphates and magnesium in the intestines, and the transport of mineral salts. Vitamin D is necessary for the functioning of the parathyroid glands, kidneys and skeletal system.

Vitamin D is an active anti-rachitic factor that promotes proper mineralization and growth of the skeleton, and also regulates the excretion of calcium and phosphate by the kidneys during the process of bone calcification.

Vitamin D plays an active role in the immune system. Vitamin D deficiency may be a cause of susceptibility to atopic dermatitis.

Method of administration and doses

For children aged 3 years and over and adults: 1 chewable tablet once daily with meals. The dose may be increased on the advice of a doctor.
