For medical use of the drug
Indications for use:
Dermatitis, pyoderma, weeping eczema, diaper rash, acute and chronic external otitis media in the presence of a sharply thickened mucous membrane with signs of inflammation.
Contraindication:
Increased individual sensitivity to boric acid, impaired renal function, chronic mesotympanitis with normal or slightly altered mucous membrane, traumatic perforations of the eardrum; pregnancy and treatment of the mammary glands during breastfeeding, childhood.
Method of application:
It is applied externally. For dermatitis, pyoderma, diaper rash, eczema, the affected areas of the skin are treated with a napkin previously moistened with the drug 2-3 times a day.
For otitis media, turundas moistened with the solution are inserted into the external auditory canal or 3-5 drops are instilled 2-3 times a day.
The duration of use of the drug depends on the achieved therapeutic effect, which is determined by the doctor.
Storage conditions and shelf life:
Store at a temperature not exceeding +25 degrees, in the original packaging, protected from light and out of the reach of children.
Side effects:
Boric acid is generally well tolerated. Some patients, especially with prolonged use, may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, desquamation of the epithelium, headache, confusion, oliguria; in isolated cases, the development of an anaphylactic reaction (up to shock).
