It has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, immunostimulating effects. The main active compound in peppermint is essential oil (up to 2.75%). The main component of the oil is menthol in the form of esters of valerian and acetic acids or in a free state. Contains a large number of trace elements, such as manganese, strontium, copper, oleanolic and ursolic acids, flavonoids. It is a good antiseptic with anti-inflammatory effects. Ceylon cinnamon contains up to 10% eugenol and has antifungal and antibacterial properties. It is deadly to more than 15 types of pathogenic bacteria.
