Composition

active ingredients: 1 package (50 g) contains a mixture of medicinal plant raw materials: calamus roots (Calami radix) 4.5 g, marshmallow roots (Althaeae radix) 4.5 g, linden flowers (Tiliae flos) 4.5 g, marigold flowers (Calendulae flos) 4.5 g, licorice roots (Liquiritiae radix) 4.5 g, sage leaves (Salviae officinalis folium) 4.5 g, elderflower flowers (Sambuci flos) 4 g, nettle leaves (Urticae folium) 4 g, peppermint leaves (Menthae piperitae folium) 4 g, creeping thyme herb (Serpylli herba) 4 g, elecampane roots (Inulae helenii radix) 3.5 g, chamomile flowers (Matricariae flos) 3.5 g.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics.

The drug BRONHOFIT has secretolytic and secretokinetic effects. Stimulates serous cells of the glands of the bronchial mucosa, increasing the content of mucous secretion, as a result of which the ratio of mucous and serous components of sputum changes. Due to the increase in the amount of bronchial secretion and the decrease in its viscosity, expectoration of sputum is facilitated. BRONHOFIT has anti-inflammatory and tonic properties.

Indication

Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough with the formation of viscous sputum: acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia.

Contraindication

Acute and chronic renal failure, acute and chronic hepatic failure, liver cirrhosis, cholestatic disorders, hypokalemia, arterial hypertension
Grade III, croup; hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or to other plants of the Lamiaceae family, as well as known allergy to celery and birch pollen (cross-reaction possible).

Special safety precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with increased blood clotting, as well as in patients with bronchial asthma and spasmophilia.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

The drug should not be used together with cough suppressants due to the possible accumulation of sputum in the respiratory tract.

With prolonged use simultaneously with cardiac glycosides, adrenocorticosteroids, antiarrhythmic drugs (quinidine), laxatives, thiazide and loop diuretics, water and electrolyte balance disorders are possible.

Application features

If symptoms persist within one week of taking the drug or if symptoms worsen during treatment and/or shortness of breath, fever, purulent sputum appear, you should consult a doctor.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Due to the lack of sufficient experience with the use of the drug during pregnancy, it should be used as prescribed by a doctor in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. If necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses

Brew 2 tablespoons of the collection in 500 ml of boiling water, let it brew in a closed container for 1 hour, strain.

Adults and children over 7 years old should take ⅔ cup (150 ml) warm 20–30 minutes before meals 3 times a day.

The duration of use is determined by the doctor. Usually the course of treatment is 3–4 weeks.

Children. The drug is contraindicated in children under 7 years of age.

Overdose

Edema, dyspeptic symptoms, increased blood pressure, and increased manifestations of adverse reactions may occur.

Side effects

The drug is usually well tolerated by patients. However, given its multicomponent composition, mainly in case of individual hypersensitivity to any of the components or in case of violation of the dosage regimen, allergic reactions are possible, including hyperemia, rashes, itching, skin edema, contact dermatitis, urticaria; gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.). In case of any negative reactions, you should consult a doctor.

Expiration date

2 years. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
