Bronles capsules No. 30




Bronles hard capsules are used for the following indications: adjunctive therapy for respiratory disorders characterized by the formation of excessive viscous mucus, including chronic obstructive respiratory diseases.
Composition
The active substance is carbocisteine (one capsule contains 375 mg of carbocisteine).
Excipients: mannitol, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Capsule composition: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171), red iron oxide (E 172), yellow iron oxide (E 172).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to carbocysteine or to any of the excipients; active peptic ulcer disease.Method of application
Adults and elderly patients. Dosage is based on an initial daily dose of 2250 mg carbocisteine in divided doses, gradually reducing to 1500 mg per day in divided doses when a satisfactory response is obtained: 2 capsules 3 times a day, reducing the dose to one capsule 4 times a day.
The drug is intended for short-term use. Treatment with Bronles should not last more than 5 days without consulting a doctor.
The drug is intended for oral administration.
Application features
Pregnant women
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drug should be used after a careful assessment of the benefit to the mother/risk to the fetus (child), which is determined by the doctor.
Children
The drug is not intended for use in children.
Overdose
Gastric lavage may be useful, with subsequent monitoring.
The most common symptoms of overdose are gastrointestinal upset.
Side effects
On the part of the immune system: there are reports of anaphylactic reactions and fixed volcanic skin changes.
Gastrointestinal: There have been reports of gastrointestinal bleeding during treatment with carbocysteine; frequency unknown (cannot be estimated from the available data): vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Skin rashes and allergic volcanic skin changes have been reported; isolated cases of bullous dermatitis, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and erythema multiforme, have also been reported.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, out of the reach of children.
Shelf life - 3 years.
