Composition
active ingredient: calendula flowers (calendulae flores);
1 pack contains 25 g or 50 g of calendula flowers (calendulae flores);
1 filter bag contains 1.5 g of calendula flowers (calendulae flores).
Dosage form
Main physicochemical properties: powdery mass, a mixture of particles of yellow-orange, bright yellow, pale yellow or reddish-orange color (filter bags).
A mixture of crushed flower beds, peduncles, tubular and false ligulate flowers and bracts. The color of the pieces of flower beds, peduncles and bracts is gray-green or green. The color of the flowers is from pale yellow to bright yellow, yellow-orange, yellow-brown or reddish-orange (bundles of crushed raw materials).
Whole or partially crumbled baskets up to 5 cm in diameter without peduncles or with remnants of peduncles no more than 3 cm long (bundles with whole raw materials).

Pharmacological properties
Calendula flowers contain carotenoids (carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin, citraxanthin, rubixanthin, flavochrome), flavonoids (narcisin, rhamnetin, isorhamnetin-3-triglucoside, isoquercitrin), essential oil, saponins, the bitter substance calendene, resinous and tannins, mucus, inulin, organic acids (malic, salicylic, pentadecyl), phytosterol, enzymes, vitamin C, alkaloids. This complex of biologically active substances has anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, bactericidal, antispasmodic and choleretic effects, accelerates tissue regeneration processes. Preparations from calendula flowers, when used internally, promote the regeneration of the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines, accelerate the healing of ulcers and erosions, have a sedative mild hypotensive effect, and contribute to the normalization of cardiac activity.
Indication
It is used internally for gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, colitis, enterocolitis, inflammatory diseases of the liver, biliary tract, and spleen, externally for diseases of the oral cavity (thrush in children, gingivitis, pyorrhea, inflammatory-dystrophic form of periodontitis), tonsillitis, and tonsillitis - as part of complex therapy.

Individual hypersensitivity to biologically active substances contained in the drug.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
During pregnancy or breastfeeding, Calendula flowers are prescribed only when the expected benefit to the woman outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Method of administration and doses
Whole raw materials: Place 1 tablespoon of uncrushed flowers in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.
Apply warm 3 times a day 15-20 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old – 1/3 cup, children 12-14 years old – ¼ cup, 7-12 years old – 2 tablespoons, 3-7 years old – 1 dessert spoon. Shake the infusion before use.
Externally used to rinse the mouth and throat 3-4 times a day.
Crushed raw materials: Place 1 dessert spoon of crushed flowers in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.
Apply warm 3 times a day 15-20 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old – ⅓ cup, children 12-14 years old – ¼ cup, 7-12 years old – 2 tablespoons, 3-7 years old – 1 dessert spoon. Shake the infusion before use.
Externally apply to rinse the mouth and throat 3-4 times a day.
Powder: Place 2 filter bags in a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, close and let stand for 15 minutes. Use warm 3 times a day 15-20 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old - 1/3 cup, children 12-14 years old - ¼ cup, 7-12 years old - 2 tablespoons, 3-7 years old - 1 dessert spoon. Shake the infusion before use. Use externally to rinse the mouth and throat 3-4 times a day.
