Pharmacological properties

Aerosol "Camphomen" has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-edematous effect, due to the components included in its composition. In the mechanism of action of the drug, a significant role is played by reflex reactions caused by irritation of sensitive nerve endings. Irritation of mucous membrane receptors is accompanied by stimulation of the formation and release of enkephalins, endorphins, peptides, which are important in the regulation of vascular permeability (nasal cavity, mouth, pharynx).

Indication

Acute inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, pharyngitis and laryngopharyngitis, rhinitis, is also prescribed in the postoperative period after tonsillectomy and polyp removal.

Application

Before inhaling the drug, remove the safety cap from the nebulizer, insert the nebulizer into the nasal cavity (to a depth of 0.5 cm) or mouth and press on its base. The contents of the canister in a finely dispersed state are sprayed into the oral or nasal cavity. 0.1 g of the drug is sprayed per press. Spraying is carried out at the moment of inhalation. 1-2-3 sprays are made per session. The frequency of inhalations is usually 3-4 times a day. Inhalations are carried out after meals.

Contraindication

It is not recommended to prescribe it to children under 5 years of age and patients who work in conditions of high dustiness (flour, tobacco, asbestos and cement production).

Side effects

Sometimes reactions may develop due to individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Storage conditions

At a temperature not exceeding 40 °C. The canister should be protected from impacts, falls, direct sunlight, and should not be sprayed near open flames. Available without a prescription. Use as directed by a doctor.
