Cardio – Dar is an antithrombotic agent. Acetylsalicylic acid, for the treatment of acute and chronic ischemic heart disease, prevention of recurrent thrombosis, primary prevention of thrombosis, cardiovascular diseases.

The drug is contraindicated in the following conditions/diseases:
Known or suspected hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or any component of the drug; bleeding tendency (vitamin K deficiency, thrombocytopenia, hemophilia); acute peptic ulcers; severe renal failure [glomerular filtration rate < 0.2 ml/s (10 ml/min)]; severe hepatic failure; severe heart failure; 3rd trimester of pregnancyMethod of application
Acute and chronic ischemic heart disease
The recommended initial dose is 150 mg per day. The maintenance dose is 75 mg per day.
Acute myocardial infarction. Unstable angina pectoris
The recommended dose is 150–450 mg, administered as soon as possible after symptoms appear.
Prevention of re-thrombosis
The recommended initial dose is 150 mg per day. The maintenance dose is 75 mg per day.
Primary prevention of thrombosis, cardiovascular diseases such as acute coronary syndrome in patients aged 50 years and older who have risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
The recommended preventive dose is 75 mg per day.
The tablets are swallowed whole, with water if necessary. To ensure rapid absorption, the tablet can be chewed or dissolved in water.
Application features
Long-term use of the drug in elderly patients for the treatment of pain, inflammation, fever or rheumatic diseases is not recommended due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Given the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in elderly patients, caution should be exercised when using low doses of acetylsalicylic acid for the treatment of acute or chronic ischemic heart disease, stroke, or prevention of stroke or ischemic heart disease.
Pregnant women
During the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid should not be prescribed unless clearly necessary. For women who may be pregnant or are pregnant in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, the dose of medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid should be as low as possible and the duration of treatment should be as short as possible.
Acetylsalicylic acid is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Children
The medicine is not used in children.
Drivers
The drug has no or negligible effect on the reaction rate when driving vehicles and other mechanisms.
Overdose
Chronic salicylate poisoning can be insidious because its signs and symptoms are nonspecific. Moderate chronic intoxication caused by salicylates usually occurs only after repeated ingestion of large doses.
Side effects
From the blood and lymphatic system: inhibition of platelet aggregation, prolongation of bleeding time, occult bleeding, anemia with long-term treatment, hemolysis in congenital glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, drowsiness, intracerebral hemorrhage.
From the side of the organs of hearing and vestibular apparatus: tinnitus.
On the part of the respiratory system: bronchospasm in patients with asthma, shortness of breath, allergic reactions (rhinitis, nasal congestion).
