The bioactivity of phytosterols leads to inhibition of HMG-CoA reductase enzymes and, as a result, a decrease in the synthesis of LDL cholesterol in the liver and the absorption of cholesterol from the intestine. The complex of bioflavonoids (luteolin, kaempferol, baicalein) lowers cholesterol levels by stimulating pyrolytic cell activating receptors (PPARs), which play a key role in the regulation of lipid metabolism. Arjuna tritepenoids and arjunolic acid and their bioactive metabolites reduce the level of total fat, triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL in the blood due to the activation of lipoprotein lipase, which enhances the hydrolysis of very low density lipoproteins, reducing the absorption of lipids from the intestine. Thanks to the main tannins Emblican A and B, it increases the level of apolipoprotein A-1, which plays an important role in the reverse movement of cholesterol, removing it from peripheral tissues and returning it back to the liver, so this is another useful biochemical mechanism in CARDIOVIDE®, which lowers blood cholesterol levels and protects the heart. Contains bioflavonoids of the anthocyanidin group, which have a persistent antioxidant effect, inhibit the harmful effect of oxidized LDL on aortic smooth muscle and restore expressed stress proteins (hemoxygenase-II). Reduces the number of microthrombi and serves as a potential anti-atherosclerotic agent. Due to its peripheral and coronary vasodilator effect, as well as improving capillary microcirculation, it reduces the load on the heart. Indications for use

For preventive purposes for effective lipid control and reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus, general obesity and smoking. Dosage and use
