Composition
active ingredients: 1 ml of the drug contains a tincture consisting of a mixture of medicinal plant raw materials (Adonidis vernalis herba) 7 mg; Amorpha fructus (Amorphae fructus) 7 mg; Hawthorn flowers (Crataegi flores) 7 mg; Elderflower flowers (Sambuci nigrae flos) 7 mg; Valerian rhizomes with roots (Valerianae rhizomata cum radicibus) 10.5 mg; Meliloti herba (Meliloti herba) 7 mg; Horse chestnut seeds (Hippocastani semina) 10.5 mg; Nettle leaves (Urticae folium) 3.5 mg; Lily of the valley leaves and flowers (Convallariae folia et flores) 7 mg; Peppermint leaves (Menthae piperitae folium) 7 mg; Licorice roots (Liquiritiae radix) 7 mg; Dog nettle grass (Leonuri herba) 7 mg; white mistletoe leaves (Visci albi folium) 5.5 mg; creeping thyme herb (Serpylli herba) 7 mg) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 40%).

Transparent liquid of dark brown color with a pleasant odor. The presence of sediment is allowed.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics.
In functional cardiovascular disorders, CARDIOPHYT has a cardiotonic, antiarrhythmic and mild hypotensive effect. In organic diseases of the cardiovascular system, as part of combination therapy, CARDIOPHYT optimizes the effect of antianginal, antihypertensive and antiarrhythmic drugs.
The drug has a mild sedative effect, reduces the manifestations of autonomic disorders, improves the general condition of patients, tolerance of physical exertion, contributing to optimal performance. CARDIOPHYT when used during the day does not cause drowsiness and general lethargy.
Pharmacokinetics.
Considering that the components of the drug are of plant origin and the effect of the drug is due to the combined effect of its components, no pharmacokinetic studies have been conducted.
Indication
Vegetative-vascular dystonia, cardioneurosis. As part of the complex treatment of ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris class I–II), hypertension (stage I–II), paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other plants of the Lamiaceae family, as well as known allergy to celery and birch pollen (cross-reaction is possible). Gastric and duodenal ulcer, cholestatic disorders, severe liver and kidney diseases, depression, arterial hypotension, bradycardia, acute myocarditis, endocarditis, pericarditis, increased blood clotting. History of alcoholism. Simultaneous use of drugs containing ethyl alcohol, neuroleptics, tranquilizers; drinking alcoholic beverages.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
The drug may enhance the effects of antianginal, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedative, hypnotic, analgesic, antispasmodic agents, cardiac glycosides, neuroleptics, tranquilizers, direct and indirect anticoagulants.
With prolonged use simultaneously with cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmic drugs (quinidine), adrenocorticosteroids, thiazide and loop diuretics or laxatives, water and electrolyte balance disorders are possible.
The simultaneous use of the drug with aminoglycoside antibiotics should be avoided due to increased nephrotoxic effects of aminoglycosides.
Application features
It is not recommended to use the drug in large doses for a long time (more than two months), as this may lead to disturbances in water and electrolyte balance due to the presence of licorice roots in the composition of the drug.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Contraindicated during pregnancy. If necessary, use of the drug should be discontinued during breastfeeding.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
During the period of use of the drug, one should refrain from potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles and working with complex mechanisms).
Method of administration and doses
Shake before use. Use for adults orally 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 2–3 times a day 30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals. In acute forms of the disease, stressful situations, the dose can be increased by 2 times. The drug can be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3 or 1:5. The duration of use and the frequency of courses are determined by the doctor depending on the severity of the disease and the achieved treatment effect.
Children. The drug is contraindicated in children.
Overdose
Overdose is accompanied by acute alcohol poisoning, the symptoms of which are similar to those of ethyl alcohol poisoning. At a blood alcohol concentration of 3–4 g/l (300–400 mg/%) severe intoxication develops.
Treatment: gastric lavage, use of adsorbents, symptomatic therapy.
With prolonged use in large doses, disturbances in water and electrolyte balance are possible.
Side effects
The drug is usually well tolerated by patients. However, given the multicomponent composition of the drug, in some cases, as a rule, with individual hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or violation of the recommended regimen of its administration, the development of allergic reactions is very rarely possible, including hyperemia, itching, rashes, including small-spotted, urticaria, angioedema; gastrointestinal disorders, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea; bradycardia. In the event of any negative reactions, you should consult a doctor.
