Composition
1 capsule contains active ingredients: Devil's claw root extract (Harpagophytum procumbens) – 50 mg, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) – 100 mg.
Excipients: orysil, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, lactose.
Properties
The functional properties of the product are due to the properties of the active ingredients, which contain a large number of biologically active substances (harpagoside, glycosides, MSM) and their ability to enhance and complement each other's effects.
Devil's claw root extract (Harpagophytum procumbens) is widely used in traditional South African medicine for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, particularly for gout and rheumatism. In Europe, it is mainly used to reduce the symptoms of arthritis, which is the most common chronic inflammatory disease in modern society. Similar to cortisone and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), it reduces inflammation and pain in joints and connective tissue. It contains a large number of biologically active substances: iridoid glycosides, the main of which is harpagoside, flavonoids (kaempferol, luteolin), triterpene glycosides, gavinone (harpanoquinone) and carbohydrates. The standardized extract contains not less than 20% of the biologically active substance harpagoside, which causes pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity in joint diseases, including rheumatic ones, which is confirmed by numerous studies. At the same time, this extract, unlike non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), is practically safe and has no side effects, which is also scientifically proven. The main biological activity of the Devil's Claw extract is similar to the action of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: reducing inflammatory processes in joint tissues due to inhibition of the COX-2 enzyme, which is involved in the development of the inflammatory reaction, reducing pain syndrome, as well as enhancing regeneration processes in cartilage tissue with stimulation of hyaluronic acid synthesis. Helps reduce swelling in inflamed joints, facilitates their mobility. It also has antirheumatic, antimicrobial, and diuretic properties, and reduces cholesterol and uric acid levels in the blood.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a natural sulfur-containing organic compound that plays an important role in the processes of repair and regeneration of damaged tissues. It is easily absorbed by the body and helps maintain the necessary level of sulfur for biosynthesis. MSM is involved in the process of cell repair, promotes the penetration of essential nutrients through cell membranes. MSM has a moderate analgesic effect in joints and ligaments, and is most effective in inflammatory joint diseases.
Due to the synergistic action of the Devil's Claw extract and MSM, CARTILIUM™ exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and promotes the regeneration of cartilage tissue in the joints and the restoration of their mobility. In chronic arthritis, it helps reduce the need for steroid and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, improves joint mobility and quality of life.
Recommendations for use
Use for acute and chronic joint diseases - primary and secondary osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, shoulder-scapular periarthritis, spinal osteochondrosis, bone fractures. It is also advisable to use for the prevention of these diseases during significant loads to ensure the normal functioning of bones, joints and muscles.
Method of application
Adults should take 1 capsule 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals, with water. The course duration is 2 months, if necessary, the course can be repeated several times a year. Before use, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
