Composition

Pharmacodynamics

Biologically active substances of celandine herb have choleretic, antispasmodic, analgesic, sedative, bactericidal, and diuretic effects.

Indication

In the complex treatment of liver and gallbladder diseases (hepatitis, cholangitis, cholecystitis) and skin diseases (impetigo, psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Epilepsy, bronchial asthma, angina pectoris, organic changes in the liver or kidneys, neurological syndromes.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Unknown.

Application features

Taking celandine preparations is permissible only as prescribed by a doctor and under his supervision.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

May affect reaction speed when driving or operating other machinery, given the ability of celandine preparations to depress the central nervous system.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Contraindicated.

Method of administration and doses

Place 1 teaspoon of the herb in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water. Take warm, ¼ cup 2 times a day 15 minutes before meals.

Place 1 filter bag in a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, close and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Take the infusion warm, ¼ cup 2 times a day, 15 minutes before meals.

For skin diseases, combine the use of the infusion internally with external use in the form of lotions.

Store the prepared water extract at a temperature of 8-15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Children

Contraindicated.

Overdose

As a result of prolonged internal use of the drug and in case of exceeding the recommended doses, dizziness, poisoning with nausea and vomiting, stomach pain are possible; in severe cases, paralysis of the respiratory center may develop. If such symptoms occur, the drug should be discontinued, and therapy is symptomatic.

Adverse reactions

In case of hypersensitivity, allergic reactions (including hyperemia, itching and skin rash), nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases - paralysis of the respiratory center are possible. If adverse reactions occur, the drug should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.

Expiration date

3 years.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 ºС, out of the reach of children.
