The children's Shantsa Medtextil 1002 cervical collar (size I) should be used only as prescribed by a doctor. The regimen for using the cervical collar is determined by the doctor depending on the child's condition and the severity of the disease.

Indications for use

Children's cervical brace is used for stiff neck, impaired neck muscle tone, to support the cervical spine in weak and premature children, in conditions after birth trauma, to maintain the position of the neck after massage and other medical procedures. The Schantz splint is recommended for scoliosis of the upper thoracic spine, kyphotic curvature of the thoracic spine to maintain correct posture.

Characteristics

The medium cervical bandage is made in the form of a flat tape made of hypoallergenic medium-density polyurethane foam. The Schants splint is attached and fixed to the neck using a Velcro fastener.

Method of application

Place the middle part of the splint under the chin, wrap the splint around the neck, secure the splint at the back, and adjust the length according to the neck circumference.

Choose the size of the bandage according to the height of your neck according to the table below. Neck height is the vertical distance from the corner of the lower jaw to the collarbone (to the chin with the head straight).
