Composition

Pharmacological properties

Chamomile flowers contain essential oil, which includes chamazulene, prochamazulene, other terpenes and sesquiterpenes, as well as flavonoids, coumarins, polysaccharides, mineral salts, carotene, ascorbic acid, sitosterol, choline, organic acids. This complex of biologically active substances has antispasmodic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, diaphoretic, choleretic and sedative effects. Preparations from chamomile flowers reduce allergic reactions, improve regeneration processes, increase the secretory activity of the digestive glands, stimulate appetite, eliminate intestinal spasms, reduce fermentation processes.

Indication

It is used internally for gastritis, inflammatory diseases of the liver and gallbladder, enterocolitis, flatulence, and colds.

Externally - for inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat.

Contraindication

Individual hypersensitivity to biologically active substances contained in the medicinal product.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

The medicine is used as prescribed by a doctor if the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Method of administration and doses

Place 3 tablespoons of flowers in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.

Apply warm 3 times a day after meals: adults and children over 14 years old - 1/3 cup, children 12-14 years old - ¼ cup; 7-12 years old - 2 tablespoons, 3-7 years old - 1 tablespoon, 1-3 years old - 1 dessert spoon, 6 months-1 year old - ½-1 teaspoon. Externally, the infusion is used for rinsing 3-4 times a day. Shake the infusion before use.

Place 2 filter bags in a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, close and let stand for 15 minutes. Apply warm 3 times a day after meals: adults and children over 14 years old - 1 glass, children 12-14 years old - 2/3 glass, 7-12 years old - ½ glass, 3-7 years old - ¼ glass, 1-3 years old - 2 tablespoons, 6 months- 1 year old - 1 dessert spoon. Externally, the infusion is used for rinsing 3-4 times a day.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Children

Used for children aged 6 months and older as prescribed by a doctor.

Overdose

There have been no reports of overdose.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions are possible (including flushing, rash, itching and swelling of the skin).

If adverse reactions occur, the use of the drug should be discontinued.
