Composition

Dosage form

The columns with the receptacles are cut and pressed.

Main physical and chemical properties: cylindrical pieces, 5 mm in diameter, 8-12 mm long. The surface is smooth, shiny, occasionally matte, marbled, uneven at the ends. Color from light to dark brown. The smell is weak, peculiar; taste with a feeling of mucus.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Biologically active substances of the drug have choleretic, diuretic (increase urine output by 150-160%), hemostatic and hypoglycemic effects; increase bile secretion, reduce its viscosity, reduce bilirubin content, increase prothrombin content in the blood and accelerate its clotting, and promote the excretion of urates, oxalates, and phosphates in the urine.

Indication

Cholecystitis, cholangitis, hepatitis with impaired bile secretion; cystitis, urolithiasis, edema; hemorrhagic diathesis, bleeding caused by a decrease in prothrombin levels (as part of complex therapy).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Increased blood clotting, increased prothrombin index, thrombophlebitis, cholelithiasis with stones larger than 10 mm in diameter, obstructive jaundice, anorexia.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

As prescribed by a doctor in the event that the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Method of administration and doses

Place 1 dessert spoon of columns with receptacles in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take warm every 3-4 hours: adults and children over 14 years old – 1-3 tablespoons, children 10-14 years old – 1 tablespoon, 7-10 years old – 1 dessert spoon, 3-7 years old – 1 teaspoon. Shake the infusion before use.

Store the prepared infusion at a temperature of 8-15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually for each patient.

Children

The drug is prescribed to children aged 3 years and older.
