Cosopt BC eye drops 10 ml

Cosopt BC eye drops are indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or pseudoexfoliative glaucoma when topical beta-blockers alone are inadequate.

Composition

1 ml of eye drops, solution contains 20 mg of dorzolamide in the form of 22.26 mg of dorzolamide hydrochloride, 5 mg of timolol in the form of 6.83 mg of timolol maleate;

excipients: hydroxyethylcellulose, mannitol (E 421), sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Method of application

Cosopt BC is prescribed at a dose of 1 drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) twice daily.

If another topical ophthalmic drug is used simultaneously, the interval between instillation of Cosopt BC eye drops and the other drug should be at least 10 minutes.

Pregnant women

Cosopt BC should not be used during pregnancy.

If treatment with Cosopt BC is necessary, breast-feeding is not recommended.

Children

Efficacy in pediatric patients has not been established.

Safety in patients under 2 years of age has not been established.

Drivers

Studies on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive or use machines have not been conducted. Possible side effects, such as blurred vision, may adversely affect the ability of some patients to drive or use machines.

Overdose

There are no data on overdose in humans following accidental or intentional ingestion of Cosopt BC.

Side effects

Immune system disorders: allergic reactions, angioedema, urticaria, itching, rash, anaphylactic reaction.

Visual disturbances: burning and tingling, conjunctival injection,

blurred vision, corneal erosion, itching in the eye, tearing.

Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: sinusitis, shortness of breath, respiratory failure, rhinitis, bronchospasm.

Gastrointestinal disorders: dysgeusia.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: contact dermatitis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life - 2 years. Use within 2 months after first opening the bottle.
