Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. Hyaluronic acid and other proteoglycan molecules stabilize the intercellular substance of connective tissue. Zinc ions block the activity of lipase P. acnes, and also have antibacterial properties. Curiosin gel reduces the formation of acne and the severity of the inflammatory process. Local application of Curiosin gel fills the increased need for hyaluronic acid in tissues.

Hyaluronic acid with water molecules forms a dispersion matrix that replaces the tissue defect, forms a natural support for cells, increases the activity of granulocytes and macrophages and enhances fibroblast proliferation and angiogenesis. Zinc hyaluronate, compared to sodium hyaluronate, has a bacteriostatic effect on a number of microorganisms.

Pharmacokinetics: There is insufficient data on the pharmacokinetics of exogenous hyaluronic acid.

According to the literature, the concentration of hyaluronic acid in healthy volunteers is within 10-100 μg/l. An increased level of hyaluronic acid in blood plasma was found in healthy (study) elderly patients in the morning in the presence of impaired liver function. Hyaluronic acid is rapidly removed from blood plasma, cleavage into low molecular weight components occurs in the liver. After i / v administration, T ½ is 2.5-5.5 min. Hyaluronic acid is almost not excreted in the urine (1%). According to the assessment of data from 22 healthy volunteers, the clearance of hyaluronic acid is 320 μg per 24 h.

Indication

Topical treatment for all forms of mild to moderate acne, including comedones and papulopustular acne.

Application

The drug is intended for external use.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice a day after hygienically cleansing the skin.

The drug is absorbed after a few minutes, so there is no need to apply a bandage.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

Side effects

At the beginning of the treatment course, burning sensations and skin hyperemia may occur, which gradually disappear during the course of therapy. With dry skin, a feeling of tension and stretching may occur.

Allergic reactions may develop in people with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: common (≥1/100-1/10) - burning sensation of the skin.

Special instructions

The drug does not cause photosensitization, does not stain the skin and linen.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are no data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Children. There are no data on the use of the drug in children under 14 years of age. The method of use of Curiosin gel in children over 14 years of age is the same as in adults.

Ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.
