Composition

1 vaginal suppository contains: hyaluronic acid with a low molecular weight of 100-300 kDa (kDa) in the form of sodium hyaluronate - 2.5 mg (mg), hyaluronic acid with a high molecular weight >= 1.8 Da (Da) in the form of hyaluronan 2.5 mg (mg), tocopherol acetate - 5 mg (mg), eugenol in the form of clove essential oil (contains about 90% eugenol) - 5 mg (mg), 18-beta-glycyrrhetinic acid - 1 mg (mg), base: suppository (C10-18 triglycerides) - up to 2000 mg (mg).

Properties

Cytovag vaginal suppositories have a moisturizing, protective and emollient effect, relieving itching, irritation, burning and dyspareunia caused by reduced or absent vaginal secretion. 2 types of hyaluronic acid (in the form of sodium hyaluronate) with different molecular weights in Cytovag have a protective, moisturizing and regenerating effect on the vaginal mucosa. Other ingredients of natural origin (tocopherol acetate, eugenol, 18-beta-glycyrrhetinic acid) have an antioxidant and soothing effect on the mucosa.

When inserted into the vagina, semi-synthetic glycerides (suppositories), which are the basis of the suppository, gradually dissolve under the influence of body temperature, and the active components (2 types of hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights, tocopherol acetate, eugenol and 18-beta-glycerides) cover the surface of the vaginal mucosa with high lubricating properties.

Indications for use

Cytovag vaginal suppositories are used to enhance regenerative processes in areas of atrophic and dystrophic changes in the vaginal mucosa, during re-epithelialization of the cervix, and to prevent purulent-inflammatory conditions in gynecology:

• for the treatment and prevention of vaginal mucosa atrophy, vaginitis and vaginosis;
• before and after invasive procedures, artificial abortion, gynecological surgeries, installation of an intrauterine device;
• to prevent vaginal dryness in the postpartum period; during menopause and menopause, caused by estrogen deficiency;
• during chemotherapy and radiation therapy;
• in case of vaginal dryness caused by diabetes and/or stress.

Method of administration and doses

Wash your hands thoroughly, remove one suppository from the blister by pulling in different directions on the two free edges of the blister above the pointed end of the suppository. Insert the suppository deep into the vagina with the pointed end up. It is best to insert it in a lying position before going to bed. For treatment, use one suppository per day for 10 days or as prescribed by a doctor. For prevention, use one suppository once every 3 (three) days for a month.

Contraindication

Do not use Cytovag vaginal suppositories.

• with hypersensitivity to the components;
• on damaged mucous membranes;
• simultaneously with other vaginal agents.

Reservation

Avoid contact with eyes; in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water. Do not swallow.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Side effects

In case of hypersensitivity to one of the components, an allergic reaction may occur.

Packaging

Vaginal suppositories 2 g (g) in blister No. 5, 2 blisters in a cardboard box together with instructions for use.

Expiration date

3 years.

Storage conditions

Keep at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Store in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Do not use if the package is open or damaged.
