One packet of powder contains: diosmectite 3.0 g, sodium chloride 0.263 g, potassium chloride 0.0373 g, tripotassium citrate anhydrous 0.162 g, trisodium citrate 0.147 g, glucose (dextrose anhydrous) 1.982 g, silicon dioxide, cream flavoring, vanilla flavoring, beta-carotene dye.

Properties

One sachet of D-ORS contains diosmectite and electrolytes. Diosmectite is a type of natural clay characterized by a crystalline structure of very thin overlapping bands, which give it a high sorption capacity. Diosmectite helps to increase the consistency and reduce the volume of stool (feces). Diosmectite also interacts with glycoproteins of the intestinal mucosa, forming a protective layer. Thanks to a balanced dose of electrolytes, D-ORS normalizes the water-salt balance.

Thus, D-ORS reduces the risk of dehydration due to diarrhea and shortens the duration of diarrhea.

Method of application

D-ORS is a single-use medical product in a sachet with powder for the preparation of a suspension for consumption. Each sachet after opening should be used only once. The contents of the sachet are dissolved in 100 ml of water. To obtain a homogeneous suspension, pour the powder into a glass, add water and mix slowly. It is recommended to take D-ORS between meals.

Duration of treatment

D-ORS should not be taken for more than 5 consecutive days. If symptoms persist, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Reservation

Consult your doctor in case of concomitant therapy. Keep D-ORS out of reach of children. Do not use D-ORS if the original packaging is damaged.

The high sorption capacity of diosmectite may affect the absorption in the gastrointestinal tract of some orally administered drugs.

Therefore, other oral medications should not be taken at the same time as D-ORS. D-ORS should not be taken by patients with constipation. Patients with diabetes or those on a special diet should be aware that D-ORS contains sugar.

Expiration date

The shelf life of D-ORS is 3 years.

Do not use D-ORS after the expiration date stated on the package. D-ORS should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat, humidity, and contact with water.

The shelf life applies to an undamaged product when stored properly.
