Darfen Express is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drug. Ibuprofen. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of fever and pain of various origins in children aged 6 to 11 years with a body weight of 20 to 39 kg, as well as adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older with a body weight ≥ 40 kg (including fever after immunization, acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, teething pain, pain after tooth extraction, toothache, headache, sore throat, pain with sprains and other types of pain, including inflammatory genesis).
Warehouse
10 ml of suspension contains 200 mg of ibuprofen; excipients: sodium benzoate (E 211), anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, hypromellose 15 cP (degree of substitution 2910), xanthan gum, liquid maltitol (E 965), glycerin 99.8%, strawberry flavoring, purified water.Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or to any of the components of the drug.
History of hypersensitivity reactions (such as bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria) after taking ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) or other NSAIDs.
History of active or recurrent gastric or duodenal ulcer/bleeding (two or more severe episodes of confirmed ulceration or bleeding).
History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation associated with NSAID use.
Method of application
The dose of ibuprofen depends on the child's weight and age. For children, the recommended daily dose of ibuprofen is 20-30 mg per kg of body weight in 3-4 divided doses.
From 20 to 29 kg (children aged 6 to 9 years):
single dose – 200 mg (1 sachet); maximum daily dose – 600 mg of ibuprofen (3 sachets).From 30 to 39 kg (children aged 10 to 11 years):
single dose – 200 mg (1 sachet); maximum daily dose – 800 mg ibuprofen (4 sachets)From 40kg (adults and adolescents from 12 years old):
single dose – 200-400 mg (1 or 2 sachets); maximum daily dose – 1200 mg of ibuprofen (6 sachets).Application features
Pregnant women
Ibuprofen should not be taken during the first two trimesters of pregnancy unless, in the opinion of the physician, the potential benefit to the patient outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
Ibuprofen is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Children
The drug should be used in children from 6 to 11 years of age with a body weight of 20 to 39 kg, as well as in adolescents from 12 years of age with a body weight ≥ 40 kg. The drug is contraindicated in children with a body weight of less than 20 kg.
Drivers
Patients who experience dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbances or other CNS disorders when taking ibuprofen should avoid driving or operating other machinery during therapy with this drug.
Overdose
In most patients, the use of clinically significant amounts of NSAIDs caused only nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, or, less commonly, diarrhea. Tinnitus, headache, and gastrointestinal bleeding are also possible. In more severe poisoning, toxic CNS lesions are possible in the form of vertigo, dizziness, drowsiness, and sometimes - an excited state and disorientation or coma. Sometimes patients develop convulsions.
Side effects
On the part of the organs of vision: with prolonged treatment, visual impairment and optic neuritis may occur.
On the part of the organs of hearing and vestibular apparatus: with prolonged treatment, dizziness may occur; ringing in the ears.
Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: airway reactivity, including asthma, bronchospasm or dyspnoea.
On the part of the psyche: psychotic reactions, depression, hallucinations, confusion.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
