Decistol capsules No. 30

The most common urinary tract infection is acute cystitis, which occurs mainly in women. Every third woman suffers from acute cystitis at least once in her life, and in 27-44% of women the disease recurs within six months. This is due to the anatomical features of the female urethra, namely the small distance between the urethra and the anus and the short length of the urethra, which facilitates the easy migration of bacteria from the intestines to the bladder.
Common signs of acute cystitis include pain during urination, frequent urination, a constant feeling of needing to urinate, and pain in the suprapubic abdomen.
Among healthy women, risk factors for acute cystitis include recent sexual intercourse ("honeymoon cystitis"), a previous history of acute cystitis, and use of spermicidal topical contraceptives, spermicidally coated condoms, and vaginal diaphragms.
The most important risk factors for recurrent acute cystitis are intense sexual activity, the use of spermicidal (local) contraceptives and vaginal diaphragms, as well as the menopause, when a decrease in estrogen levels in the blood causes changes in the epithelium of the vaginal mucosa, leading to loss of ).
Without treatment, an infection from the bladder can ascend into the kidney parenchyma, causing pyelonephritis, which requires immediate medical attention.
General properties
DECISTOL is used to normalize the function of the urinary system and restore the biochemical properties of urine in urinary tract infections.
D-mannose (alpha-D-mannose) is a simple carbohydrate that cannot be oxidized and accumulates in the body, so it is quickly excreted in the urine. Mannose is a component of the so-called mannosylated glycoproteins - special proteins on the surface of urinary tract cells, to which bacteria that cause urinary tract infections, such as E. coli, are "attracted" and "attached". In the urine, mannose binds to bacteria, preventing them from "attaching" to the cells of the urinary tract mucosa and causing inflammation. There are studies that show the effectiveness of alpha-D-mannose in acute simple cystitis and the prevention of recurrent cystitis.
Cranberry extract (Vaccinium macrocarpon).
Cranberry is a medicinal plant that has been traditionally used for urinary tract infections for a long time. Components of cranberry fruit extract, such as proanthocyanidins, have antimicrobial effects on urine, and organic acids help maintain urine pH (acidity) within physiological limits. Studies show that cranberry consumption reduces the risk of recurrent acute cystitis.
CRANULUXIA EXTRACT (Arctostáphylos uva ursi).
Musuka is one of the traditional medicinal plants used for urinary tract infections. The composition of the extract of the leaves of the bearberry includes flavonoids, terpenoids, iridoids and hydroquinone glycosides, the main of which is arbutin. They have a mild diuretic, enveloping, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. There is evidence that the use of bearberry extract for infections of the genitourinary system alleviates the condition and reduces the duration of symptoms.
