Eucalyptus oil has a similar effect when applied topically.
Menthol has a weak local analgesic effect, accompanied by a feeling of relief from pain in muscles, ligaments and joints.
Deep Heat has a local irritant, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, a warming effect at the site of application, and stimulates local blood circulation in the tissues.
