Properties

Dermatix Ultra is a topical, invisible, quick-drying gel that helps maintain skin moisture balance while simultaneously correcting scars resulting from surgery, burns, and other injuries.

Dermatix Ultra helps flatten, soften and smooth scars, eliminate pain, itching and discomfort, as well as reduce redness of the skin in the scar area. The vitamin C ester contained in the gel contributes to scar depigmentation.

Dermatix Ultra is a light, non-greasy substance that is easily applied to all areas of the skin, including the face, joints and skin folds, and dries quickly to form an invisible coating, leaving the skin feeling clean and silky.

Dermatix Ultra is made using the same basic long chain polymers used in topical silicone gel wraps and is contained in a tube.

Recommendations for use

Dermatix Ultra is used to prevent and correct the formation of keloid and hypertrophic scars (such as those resulting from surgery, trauma and burns), optimally used immediately after wound healing and skin surface restoration. It can also be used for prominent, red, unformed scars that are in the active formation stage, which occurs up to 2 years after wound healing.

Method of application

Remove the cap from the tube and cut off the tip. Wash the area of application and pat it dry, as Dermatix Ultra should only be applied to clean, dry skin. Rub the gel into the scar with light massage movements; blot any excess gel with a cloth to avoid staining your clothes. After drying, you can apply cosmetics over Dermatix Ultra gel.

Apply the gel morning and evening for at least 2 months; longer treatment may be required for severe scars.

Dermatix Ultra can also be used in children.

Reservation

• Dermatix Ultra should not be applied to unhealed open wounds;
• Dermatix Ultra gel should not be allowed to come into contact with mucous membranes or applied too close to the eyes;
• Dermatix Ultra should not be applied to the skin over other medications without consulting a doctor.

Side effects

In rare cases, the gel may cause redness, soreness or irritation of the skin. If these or any other side effects occur, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.
