DIABETOVID® is a complex Ayurvedic preparation with a pronounced therapeutic effect that regulates blood sugar levels, maintains normal insulin concentration in the blood, and reduces the risk of complications in type 2 diabetes.

Indications for use

To maintain normal blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and impaired glucose tolerance. When using Diabetovid in combination with antidiabetic drugs, the dose of the latter may be reduced.

Composition

DIABETOVID® contains standardized plant extracts:

Chinese bitter gourd (Momordica charantia) – 100 mg; Banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa) – 75 mg; Fenugreek (Trigonella fornum) – 75 mg; Gymnema sylvestre – 75 mg; Myrtle (Eugenia jambolana) – 50 mg; Neem (Azadirachta indica) – 50 mg; Cinnamon (Cinnamomum tamala) – 50 mg; Purified Shilajit extract – 15 mg.

Pharmacological action

Hypoglycemic: Diabetovid contains polypeptides that act like insulin in the body and also promote insulin secretion by the beta cells of the pancreas. Saponins in Diabetovid prevent the absorption of glucose in the intestines and reduce blood glucose levels. Hypolipidemic: The herbs contained in Diabetovid reduce the levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins and very low-density lipoproteins in the blood, thereby preventing diabetic complications in patients. Inhibition of alpha-amylase activity: Alpha-amylase is one of the key enzymes in the human body responsible for the breakdown of starch into simple sugars. Inhibition of this enzyme by phytocomponents slows down the digestion of carbohydrates and reduces the rate of glucose absorption. Antioxidant: The antioxidants present in Diabetovid prevent oxidative damage to pancreatic beta cells, thereby effectively maintaining normal blood glucose levels. Nephroprotective: By lowering glucose levels, which helps reduce hyperfiltration in nephrons, and inhibiting reactive oxygen species (ROS), Diabetovid protects nephrons and alleviates diabetic nephropathy.
