Diclo-F eye drops 0.1% dropper bottle 5 ml

Pharmacological properties
The active ingredient of Diclo-f eye drops is the NSAID diclofenac sodium. Diclofenac has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. The mechanism of action is to inhibit COX activity, which leads to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. When used in the form of 0.1% eye drops, diclofenac reduces eye inflammation, which may occur as a result of infection, trauma or surgery; reduces miosis during surgical operations, reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins and their concentration in the aqueous humor of the anterior chamber of the eye.
When instilled with eye drops, diclofenac is absorbed into the systemic bloodstream, but its level achieved in the blood is well below the detection limit and is of no clinical significance.
Indication
Inhibition of miosis during cataract surgery; treatment and prevention of inflammatory processes after eyeball surgery; prevention of cystic macular edema after cataract surgery; treatment of non-infectious conjunctivitis; treatment and prevention of post-traumatic inflammatory process in penetrating and non-penetrating injuries of the eyeball (as an adjunct to local anti-infective therapy).
Application
To eliminate intraoperative miosis, the drug is instilled into the conjunctival sac for 2 hours with an interval of 30 minutes (4 times) before surgery. To prevent cystic macular edema, the drug is instilled 1 drop 3-4 times a day for 2 weeks after surgery. Other indications: 1 drop 3-4 times a day, depending on the severity of the condition. The course of treatment can last from 1 to 2 weeks.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs (development of attacks, urticaria, acute rhinitis, etc.)
Side effects
Occasionally, the following side effects were observed when using the drug: mild or moderate burning and/or temporary loss of visual clarity immediately after instillation of eye drops; hypersensitivity reactions in the form of itching, hyperemia and photosensitivity.
Special instructions
Patients who use contact lenses should use Diclo-f only after removing the lenses (they can be put back on 15 minutes after instillation of the drug). The bottle must be closed after each use. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye.
Interactions
The drug may enhance the effect of indirect anticoagulants. Simultaneous use with diflunisal (possible development of gastrointestinal bleeding) and other NSAIDs, including acetylsalicylic acid in high doses - 3 g/day and more, is not recommended.
If necessary, it can be used simultaneously with other eye drops, including those containing GCS. In this case, the break between instillations should be at least 5 minutes to prevent washing out of the active components by subsequent drugs.
Overdose
With proper use, overdose is not observed. Accidental ingestion does not lead to the development of undesirable side effects.
Storage conditions
At a temperature of up to 30 °C in a place protected from light. Do not freeze! After opening the bottle, the shelf life of the drug is 1 month.
