Dolaren gel 50 g




Dolaren is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug for the local treatment of pain and inflammation of joints, lower back, muscles, ligaments, and tendons of rheumatic or traumatic origin.
Warehouse
1 g of gel contains diclofenac diethylamine in terms of diclofenac sodium 10 mg, menthol 50 mg, methyl salicylate 100 mg; excipients: benzyl alcohol, linseed oil, carbomer 940, diethylamine, propylene glycol, disodium edetate, sodium methylparaben, sodium bisulfite, butylhydroxytoluene, butylhydroxyanisole, hypromellose, purified water.Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or to other components of the drug.
History of attacks of bronchial asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis, angioedema caused by taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
Damage to the epidermis, open wounds in the area of application.
The last trimester of pregnancy.
Gastric and duodenal ulcer in the exacerbation phase.
Do not use immediately before or immediately after heart surgery.
Children under 14 years old.
Method of application
Adults and children over 14 years of age should apply a thin layer of 2–4 g of gel (a strip of 4–8 cm) to the skin 2–3 times a day and rub in gently. The average daily dose is 10 g of gel, which corresponds to 100 mg of diclofenac sodium. The drug should be applied to intact skin, avoiding contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
Application features
Use with caution with oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. NSAIDs can cause gastrointestinal bleeding. The risk increases with dose and duration of use and is higher in elderly patients, patients with a history of gastric ulcer, impaired hemostasis, and patients taking anticoagulants, glucocorticoids or other NSAIDs, as well as in the presence of alcohol.
Pregnant women
During the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, the drug can be used only in case of urgent need on small areas for a short time. Dolaren, gel, is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy due to the possibility of developing weakness of labor, pulmonary hypertension and/or premature closure of the ductus arteriosus.
Children
Contraindicated for children under 14 years of age.

Overdose
Overdose is unlikely due to the low absorption of diclofenac into the systemic bloodstream when applied topically.
Side effects
Infections and infestations: pustular eruptions.
Skin: rash, itching, redness, eczema, exanthema, erythema, burning, the appearance of edema and vesicles, papules, pustules, peeling and dry skin, dermatitis (including contact dermatitis), skin edema, burning sensation, bullous dermatitis, photosensitivity reactions, generalized skin rashes, burning sensation of the skin.
Immune system disorders: hypersensitivity reactions (including urticaria), angioedema, shortness of breath.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
Keep out of reach of children.
