General properties
DOMENORM gel is a non-hormonal moisturizing gel with liposomes containing a unique combination of hyaluronic acid and plant extracts that have anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, wound-healing, softening and moisturizing effects.
Hydrophilic mucoadhesive polymers of the gel promote tight adhesion of active components to the surface of the epithelium of the vagina, vulva and skin.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF COMPONENTS.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural molecular biopolymer that has a unique ability to enhance the binding and retention of water molecules, which is accompanied by active moisturizing of the skin and mucous membranes of the genital organs, eliminating redness and irritation.
Promotes wound healing and relief of inflammatory reactions by increasing granulocyte activity and enhancing fibroblast proliferation.
With water molecules, hyaluronic acid forms a dispersion matrix that replaces tissue defects, forms a natural support for cells and creates a barrier. All this acts as structural support and contributes to the restoration of elasticity, increased tone, tissue nutrition, wound healing without the formation of rough keloid scars and the removal of inflammatory reactions.
Calendula extract (marigold) – provides an anti-inflammatory effect, accelerates the healing of abrasions and cracks, has an antifungal, antibacterial effect and strengthens local immunity. The inulin component serves as a nutrient medium for lactobacilli.
The extract accelerates the processes of tissue and mucous membrane regeneration, promotes the healing of ulcers and erosions. The use of calendula prevents the appearance of coarse colloid at the healing site. Calendula exhibits antiviral activity and stimulates secretory activity.
Calendula is also used in proctology for anal fissures, proctitis and paraproctitis as a natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent. It is also widely used in gynecology.
Glycolic mallow extract
A special glycolic extraction method allows for maximum extraction of active substances that contribute to the emollient, soothing, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects of the extract. Mallow also exhibits analgesic, immunostimulating, antioxidant and antifungal properties.
The properties of mallow are due to its chemical composition.
Plant phospholipids of red clover - contains low molecular weight polyphenols that have astringent, but do not exhibit tannic properties. They have a weakly acidic reaction. When interacting with proteins, they form a protective film on mucous membranes and wound surfaces. They have bactericidal and fungicidal properties.
Soybean plant phospholipids – promote the regeneration of cell membranes, have antioxidant activity. Soybean is rich in tocopherols, which are characterized by vitamin E activity. The presence of a large amount of tocopherols in soy determines its ability to increase local immunity and slow down aging.
Plant phospholipids from red clover and soybeans are broken down by acids and alkalis to form a sugary part that serves as a nutrient medium for lactobacilli. These extracts also have stimulating estrogen-like properties.
Chamomile extract – helps accelerate healing, relieve redness, inflammation, pain, and helps inhibit the development of bacteria.
Chamomile extract is an anti-inflammatory, soothing, and analgesic. It accelerates the regeneration of the epithelium, stops the processes of decay, and has disinfectant properties. Due to the content of chamazulene, it is an anti-allergic agent.
Alpha tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) – helps significantly reduce the symptoms of vaginal dryness by stimulating secretion production.
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, when applied externally it helps to retain water in tissues and mucous membranes and maintains the elasticity and elasticity of tissues, slows down the aging process. It participates in the processes of tissue respiration, protein biosynthesis, cell proliferation and other metabolic processes. These effects are associated with the antioxidant activity of the vitamin, i.e. the ability to neutralize free radicals, which are the result of the action of various adverse environmental influences. With a deficiency of vitamin E, degenerative changes in tissues develop and capillary permeability and fragility increase.
Indications for use
DOMENORM gel is recommended for preventive use:
- When preventing the symptoms of vaginal and vulvar dryness associated with estrogen deficiency, hormone replacement therapy, or the use of oral contraceptives;
- To improve regeneration, reduce the permeability of barrier tissues, prevent the formation of granulation tissue and scars after surgical operations in dermatology and dermatocosmetology;
- When restoring the mucous membrane in inflammatory conditions of the vagina, accompanied by itching, burning, irritation or dryness of the mucous membrane;
- As an adjunct in the local treatment of vaginitis with antiseptics;
- When restoring the mucous membrane in inflammatory conditions of the vagina associated with prolonged use of glucocorticosteroids, antibacterial agents, barbiturates;
- When restoring the integrity of the skin and mucous membranes after sexual intercourse or in the postpartum period;
- As an adjuvant when necessary to heal injuries to the vaginal mucosa after gynecological and surgical interventions;
- Elimination of symptoms of atrophy of the vaginal mucosa and external genitalia as a result of chemotherapy, radiation or radiotherapy;
- As a hygienic and prophylactic agent after visiting public places (sauna, bathhouse, swimming pool, reservoirs) to prevent infection; to maintain and restore the optimal acidity of the vaginal secretion.
Method of administration and doses
Apply 1-3 times a day for 7-10 days in courses or as needed. Externally or vaginally. Wash hands thoroughly before use.
It is advisable to consult a doctor before use.
In case of surgical interventions on the skin, apply externally.
Treat the affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes with the gel using light massage movements. Apply 2-3 times a day or as needed.
With atrophic changes.
Apply the gel to the mucous membranes and skin of the external genitalia with light movements. Apply 2-3 times a day or as needed.
The duration of treatment depends on the development of symptoms; if necessary, DOMENORM gel can be used for a long period.
DOMENORM gel can be used as a lubricant.
For vaginal use, use an applicator.
DOMENORM vaginal gel is applied intravaginally using an applicator.
The recommended single dose is 3-4 ml of gel (corresponding to 5-6 cm of gel in the applicator), once a day, preferably before bedtime, for 7-10 days or as needed.
For convenience, a scale in centimeters is printed on the tube and box.
Instructions for using the applicator:
The applicator is intended for multiple individual use. The applicator and the linear scale on the packaging and tube are designed for accurate dosing and comfortable introduction of DOMENORM gel into the vagina.
- Remove the cap from the tube, turn the cap over and use the sharp protrusion on it to open the tube.
- Screw the end of the applicator onto the tube. Make sure the piston is fully inserted into the cylinder.
- Carefully pull the applicator piston towards you and at the same time gently press on the tube from the opposite end, carefully squeeze the gel into the applicator until the required volume is filled.
- Unscrew the applicator and close the tube with the cap.
- While lying on your back, pull your knees to your chest. Holding the applicator horizontally, carefully insert it into the vagina as deeply as possible, trying not to cause discomfort.
- Slowly press the plunger all the way down and insert the contents of the applicator into the vagina.
- Carefully remove the applicator from the vagina.
- Wash the applicator (cylinder and piston) in warm soapy water, do not use detergents. After washing, rinse thoroughly, dry and put in the packaging.
Reservation
DO NOT PUT THE APPLICATOR IN HOT OR BOILING WATER. The applicator should be assembled by fully inserting the piston into the cylinder, overcoming resistance where it is felt.
When the tube is empty, the applicator should be disposed of.
Individual sensitivity to individual components of the gel is possible. In such cases, use of the gel should be discontinued.
Storage conditions
Store in the manufacturer's original packaging in a dry place, out of reach of children, at a temperature of 5°C - 25°C.
