Composition of 1 tablet

Active ingredients: selenium – 100 micrograms (mcg);

Excipients: dicalcium phosphate (E341 (ii) hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (E464), microcrystalline cellulose (E460 (i), modified starch, fatty acids (E570), magnesium salts of fatty acids (E470b), riboflavin-5 (E463), iron oxides and hydroxides (E172), croscarmellose sodium (E468), talc (E553b), silicon dioxide (E551), coconut oil.

Pharmacological properties

Selenium is an essential trace element that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. It is a key element in maintaining homeostasis in the human body. It plays a key role in the functioning of the endocrine system, specifically the thyroid gland.

The Doppelherz Active Selenium tablet consists of two layers. Part of the active substance is contained in the first, rapid-release layer, and the other part is contained in the DEPO gradual-release layer.

Selenium deficiency leads to a decrease in the activity of selenoproteins: glutathione peroxidase, deiodinase, thioredoxin reductase, as well as selenoprotein P, which ensure adequate functioning of the thyroid gland.

Glutathione peroxidase is one of the most powerful antioxidant enzymes that binds dissolved oxygen and prevents the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide in the thyroid gland.

Selenium stimulates tissue proliferation and improves the function of the gonads and heart. In the body, selenium is converted into selenoproteins. With the participation of selenium, proteins transfer energy between cells, improve fat, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism.

Selenium prevents premature aging by extending the lifespan of body cells. An optimal amount of selenium in the body helps prevent cardiomyopathy and other cardiovascular diseases.

Recommendations for use

Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1 tablet per day (at the same time) during or after meals. It is recommended to consult a doctor before use.

Recommended duration of use: 2-3 months, then a period of use and repeated use in consultation with a doctor.

Reservation

Individual intolerance to the product components, women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
