Melatonin is the main hormone of the pineal gland and the regulator of the circadian rhythm (sleep/wakefulness, activity/rest) of humans and other living organisms. Most of it is produced by the body during sleep. Due to its properties, melatonin helps to normalize night sleep: it accelerates falling asleep, improves sleep quality, reduces the number of night awakenings, does not cause a feeling of lethargy, fatigue and exhaustion upon awakening, dreams become brighter and more emotionally saturated. Melatonin can also help the body adapt to the rapid change of time zones and reduce stress levels.

Other ingredients, such as extracts of hop cones, lemon balm, and lavender, have a calming, antidepressant, and sedative effect on the body.

Hop cones have a calming effect due to the presence of lupulin, which is associated with their sedative effect. Hops have also been reported to have positive properties as an antiarrhythmic and hypotensive agent.
