Properties

Lutein and zeaxanthin are the main components of the antioxidant protection system of the eye. During evolution, the eye has developed a fairly reliable system of protection against the dangers of photodamage, the main components of which are carotenoids.

Among all carotenoids, only lutein and zeaxanthin have the ability to penetrate the retina and effectively protect the eyes. Such protection is necessary to ensure daytime vision, and even more so vision in conditions of too bright or dangerous spectral composition of the light environment.

Lutein, zeaxanthin, vitamins A, C, E and zinc - a special complex of nutrients for the eyes.

It can be used in dietary diets as an additional source of vitamins and antioxidants to create optimal dietary conditions for the functioning of the human body, including the organ of vision.

It is recommended to eat a varied diet with a predominance of plant-based foods and a restriction of fats (at the expense of animal fats), sweets, and alcohol.
