Composition

The complex of active substances increases the phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages, stimulates the synthesis of interleukin-1, stimulates the transformation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells, improves the functions of T-helpers. Inulin, lavulose and betaine improve metabolic processes, especially in the liver and kidneys. Has antiviral, antibacterial, antimycotic properties.

Indication
As part of the complex treatment of immunodeficiency states in chronic recurrent inflammatory diseases of various localization. Condition after antibiotic therapy, cytostatic, immunosuppressive, radiation therapy. Initial manifestations of acute respiratory viral infections, with prolonged use of antibiotics. Local treatment of wounds that do not heal for a long time.
Contraindication
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug or to plants of the Asteraceae family; connective tissue diseases (collagenoses), multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases.
Progressive systemic diseases (tuberculosis, diabetes mellitus), diseases of the leukocyte blood system (leukemia, agranulocytosis), oncological diseases, rheumatism, AIDS, HIV infections, systemic lupus erythematosus, immunosuppression or immunodeficiency of various etiologies and other chronic viral diseases.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Children under 12 years of age.
Special safety precautions
The duration of treatment with Echinacea tincture should not exceed 8 weeks. During storage, the tincture may become cloudy and precipitate, which consists of active polysaccharides, so the bottle must be shaken before taking the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
Due to the immunostimulating effect of echinacea, the drug may reduce the effectiveness of drugs that have an immunosuppressive effect.
The drug is not recommended for use simultaneously with drugs with hepatotoxic effects, such as amiodarone, methotrexate, ketoconazole, and steroid drugs.
The drug contains ethanol, which may increase the absorption and pharmacological action of some sedative drugs and indirectly, by changing the activity of the cytochrome P450 system, affect the elimination of drugs that are metabolized with the participation of enzymes of this system. Ethanol may cause a disulfiram-like reaction when used simultaneously, for example, with some antibacterial agents.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the tincture because the preparation contains alcohol.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
The drug contains ethyl alcohol, so you should refrain from driving and working with complex mechanisms.
Method of administration and doses
To achieve a quick effect, at the beginning of treatment, adults should take 40 drops of tincture, and then another 20 drops within 2 hours. Then take the drug 20 drops three times a day. The course of treatment is no more than 8 weeks. Children from 12 years of age should be prescribed tincture in a 1:2 or 1:3 dilution of 5-10 drops 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before meals. When treating wounds, apply the tincture locally to the affected areas. Externally, use for compresses, tampons. Dilute 20-60 drops of tincture in 100 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution, moisten gauze with this solution, apply it to the wound and cover with compress paper. Change the bandage twice a day. The recommended duration of treatment with the drug is from 1 to 8 weeks.
Children.
The drug is not used in children under 12 years of age due to the ethanol content.
Overdose
Nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disorders, increased nervous system arousal, sleep disorders. Symptomatic therapy.
Side effects
Allergic reactions: skin redness, itching, facial swelling, rash, urticaria, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, angioedema of the skin, Quincke's edema, anaphylactic shock.
Respiratory system: difficulty breathing, bronchospasm with obstruction, asthma.
Central nervous system: dizziness.
Cardiovascular system: arterial hypotension.
From the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
With prolonged use (more than 8 weeks), leukopenia may occur.
