What is ECTOBREATH and what is it used for?

ECTOBREATH is a medical device containing Ectoin®, a natural molecule with anti-inflammatory and membrane-stabilizing properties that protects cells.

ECTOBREATH is an isotonic solution and can be used as an adjunct to reduce inflammation and relieve symptoms of respiratory diseases, in the case of allergic or non-allergic asthma, bronchitis, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

ECTOBREATH protects and moisturizes the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, for example, when exposed to particulate matter, pollen, dust or dry air in heated or air-conditioned rooms.

ECTOBREATH prevents symptoms of allergic reactions of the respiratory system in allergic asthma caused, for example, by house dust or pollen.

Using ECTOBREATH as an adjunct in the treatment and prevention of bronchitis symptoms prevents the drying of mucous membranes, thins viscous mucus, making it easier to cough it up.

ECTOBREATH can be administered using jet, mesh, and ultrasonic nebulizers.

ECTOBREATH does not contain preservatives.

Reservation

• ECTOBREATH should not be used in the presence of trauma, for example, after surgery on the respiratory system.
• ECTOBREATH should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to Ectoin® or any other component of the product.
• If side effects occur, use of ECTOBREATH should be discontinued immediately.
• After using a single-dose container, the remaining liquid should be disposed of in accordance with current waste disposal requirements; it is not intended for reuse.
• The packaging of the ECTOBREATH medical device contains small plastic parts that can be swallowed by small children. To avoid the risk of aspiration, ECTOBREATH should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not use damaged single-dose containers.
• Don't inhale too quickly.
• The medical device is intended for inhalation use only; the solution cannot be injected or swallowed.
• ECTOBREATH should not be used after the expiration date.

Interaction with other tools and other types of interaction

There are no known interactions between ECTOBREATH and other inhalation solutions.

Wait at least 15 minutes between using ECTOBREATH and inhaling other medical devices or medications.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

There are currently no data on the use of ECTOBREATH during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medical product if you:

• are pregnant or breastfeeding;
• not sure whether you are pregnant or not.

Method of application

Always use ECTOBREATH according to these instructions for use. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have any questions.

Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, inhale the contents of one single-dose container (2.5 ml (ml)) as needed, up to two times a day, using a nebulizer. Make sure the nebulizer is clean and uncontaminated. Children 10 years of age and younger should inhale under adult supervision.

1. Detach one single-dose container from the strip.
2. Open the single-dose container above the nebulizer spray nozzle. To do this, hold the single-dose container by the body and turn the cap located on top.
3. Pour the entire contents into the nebulizer container by gently pressing the container. A small amount of liquid will remain in the container.
4. Use the nebulizer according to its manufacturer's instructions.
5. Children under 2 years of age may require special technical equipment (e.g., soft-faced masks) for inhalation. Use equipment recommended by the nebulizer manufacturer.

To ensure product sterility, each single-dose container is intended for single use only.

Side effects

As with all inhalation products, inhalation with ECTOBREATH may cause side effects. In some cases, a negative impact on the course of asthma cannot be excluded. Please inform your doctor, pharmacist or authorized representative in Ukraine of LLC "Yuria-pharm" in case of side effects associated with the use of ECTOBREATH. In this case, the use of the medical device should be discontinued immediately.

If the condition worsens, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage conditions

The expiration date of ECTOBREATH is indicated on the carton and single-dose container.

ECTOBREATH should be stored at a temperature of +2°C to +25°C.

Keep out of reach of children.
