Medical plaster bandages are strips of medical gauze impregnated with high-quality plaster, evenly distributed over the gauze and secured with a bacteriostatic material that is indifferent to the body.

Technical data

Surface density (tenacity) of gauze is not less than 24 g/m2; Surface density (strength) of plaster bandage is not less than 340 g/m2; Setting time is from 4 to 8 minutes after removing the bandage from water and wringing; Full hardening time is from 24 to 48 hours, depending on the area and thickness of the bandage.

Packaging

Plaster bandages are packed in polypropylene packaging sleeves. Corrugated cardboard boxes are used for transportation.

Storage

Plaster bandages should be stored in individual packaging, avoiding damage. The warranty period for bandages is three years from the date of manufacture. Store in dry rooms. The date of manufacture is marked on the packaging.

Application of drywall

Make sure the water temperature is 20°C-30°C; The bandage should be placed in a deep container, as air escapes faster under high pressure; The immersion time is 3-8 seconds, depending on the size, until the bubbles disappear; The bandage should be immersed at a 45-degree angle to allow air to escape faster; After removing from the water, the bandage should be squeezed from the edges to the center to avoid coagulation and loss of plasticity, the bandage should be applied immediately after squeezing; For better unwinding of the bandage, use a plastic device on which the bandage is wound; A plaster cast is usually applied in two ways: in a circle and in folds.

The bandage should not be tightened too much. The time from immersion of the bandage to the completion of the entire procedure should not exceed 120 seconds; - the hardening time of the bandage is the time from immersion (approximately 120 seconds) to the end of the operation - 4-8 minutes.
