Composition
active ingredient: liquid extract of rhizomes with roots of Eleutherococcus senticosus (1:1) (extractant – ethanol 40%);
1 bottle contains 20 ml, 25 ml, 30 ml or 50 ml of liquid extract of rhizomes with roots of Eleutherococcus senticosus (1:1) (extractant – 40% ethanol).
Dosage form
The extract is liquid.
Main physical and chemical properties: dark brown liquid, transparent in a thin layer, with a specific odor. During storage, precipitation is allowed.

Pharmacodynamics.
The composition of Eleutherococcus spinosa rhizomes with roots includes eleutherosides A, B, B1, C, D, E, F and G, coumarin derivatives, flavonoids, essential oil, vegetable wax, resins, starch and other components. Due to the presence of eleutherosides, the drug increases physical and mental performance, visual acuity, resistance to adverse environmental factors, improves metabolism, has a slight stimulating gonadotropic and hypoglycemic effect.

Indication
Physical and mental fatigue, neurasthenia and psychosthenia, functional exhaustion of the central nervous system, which is accompanied by decreased performance, irritability and insomnia. Vegetative neurosis, postoperative period; in combination with other agents - for acute and chronic radiation sickness.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hyperthermic syndrome, arterial hypertension, increased excitability, epilepsy, acute infectious diseases, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, insomnia, neurocirculatory dystonia, fever.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
The drug may potentiate the effects of central nervous system stimulants, analeptics, hypoglycemic agents, and inhibit the effects of sedatives and hypnotics (including barbiturates, tranquilizers, antiepileptics).
Application features
When taking the drug in the afternoon, insomnia is possible.
Blood pressure should be monitored while using the medicine.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
The medicine contains 40% ethanol, so it should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
The medicine contains 40% ethanol, therefore, during its use, caution should be exercised when driving vehicles and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms.
Method of administration and doses
Shake before use. Take the drug orally 30 minutes before meals.
Adults should take 20–30 drops once a day, children over 12 years old should take 1 drop per year of the child’s life once a day, previously diluted with a small amount of water, in the morning (i.e. before 3 p.m.). The course of treatment is 25–30 days, if necessary, repeat after 1–2 weeks.
Children. The drug is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age, as it contains 40% ethanol.
Overdose
Possible increase in blood pressure, sleep disturbances, heart rhythm disturbances, decreased performance, increased excitability. In such cases, the use of the drug should be discontinued immediately.
Therapy is symptomatic: gastric lavage, use of sorbents, and in severe cases, administration of analeptics (corazol, cordiamine).
Side effects
The drug is usually well tolerated, however, in patients with hypersensitivity, allergic reactions (redness of the skin, rash, itching) may develop;
from the side of the central nervous system: excitement, sleep disturbances, irritability, anxiety, decreased performance, headache;
Cardiovascular system: tachycardia, increased blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbances.
With prolonged use (more than 2 months), the drug may cause muscle spasms and digestive tract disorders.
